Welcome to New Hope Community Church! Join us today as we begin our new series exploring the powerful teaching stories of Jesus.

Pastor Mark kicks off "Parables: Timeless Truths" by examining why Jesus chose to teach through stories and parables. Discover how these earthly stories with heavenly meanings were designed to both reveal truth to believers and challenge hardened hearts. Through the lens of Matthew 13, we'll explore how parables serve as spiritual mirrors, helping us examine the condition of our own hearts and our receptiveness to God's Word.

Don't miss this foundational message that sets the stage for understanding Jesus' most memorable teachings!

Have you ever wondered why Jesus chose to teach through stories? Tomorrow we're kicking off our new series "Parables: Timeless Truths" with Week 1, exploring "The Purpose of the Parables" from Matthew 13.

Here's something fascinating: storytelling makes information up to 22 times more memorable than facts alone. Jesus knew this! He used everyday stories about farming, fishing, and family life to reveal profound spiritual truths.

Pastor Mark is going to unpack why Jesus shifted to using parables in His teaching ministry, and how we can apply the same three-step process Jesus used to help us understand these timeless truths today. Plus, you won't want to miss his modern parable about a city called "Synapse" - it might just change how you see your relationship with technology and faith!

Baptism is a burial. You go under the water carrying everything the old life was, and you come up on the other side because of what Jesus did. Paul described it as being united with Christ in death so you could be united with him in resurrection.

On April 12 at 6 PM, we're gathering in the Sanctuary to worship and to watch that happen. We'll sing together, pray together, and then stand with the people in our church who are ready to take that step. Come be in the room when they do.

Worship Night with Baptism, Sunday at 6 PM in the Sanctuary at New Hope.

What if the person you’re looking for is not who you think you’re looking for? We all have moments when Jesus feels distant, when our prayers seem to bounce off the ceiling, and when we wonder if God is really there. But what if the problem is not His absence? What if we are looking for the wrong version of Him? Read this week’s devotional to discover the question that changes everything about how we seek and find Christ.

When Mary Magdalene encountered the risen Jesus, she went from looking for a co**se to embracing the living Savior. The moment Jesus spoke her name, there was no hesitation, no doubt—just pure recognition and overwhelming joy.

But Jesus had a purpose for her that morning: "Don't just cling to me, go tell the others." His question to Mary cuts to the heart of our faith journey: "Who is it you are looking for?" Are we seeking a distant historical figure, or the living Christ who transforms everything?

This Easter reminder challenges us to examine what we're truly seeking in our relationship with Jesus.

Who are you looking for? This Easter Sunday, we're reminded of Mary Magdalene's encounter with the risen Christ. She went to the tomb expecting to find a body to honor, but instead discovered something far greater, a living Savior who called her by name.

In our Easter Sunday service, Pastor Mark will explore this powerful question Jesus asked Mary: "Who is it you are looking for?" It's a question that reaches across 2000 years to each of us today. Are we looking for a Jesus who fits our convenience? A historical figure safely contained in the pages of a book? Or are we seeking the living Christ who transforms lives from the inside out?

Mary thought she was speaking to the gardener, but one word from Jesus, "Mary", changed everything. She recognized her risen Lord, and her life was never the same. This Easter, discover how the resurrection isn't just a historical event, but a present reality that can transform your life today.

Our Story

New Hope Community is a little country church that has become a home away from home for hundreds of families over the years. We are here to teach, edify, and help people discover the love of Christ.

We believe this is the time to add a new building to our current facilities so we can better serve our church family - - AND our community better.

Since we are still known as “The Country Church” we’re calling our new building, THE BARN!

We trust it will be filled with HOPE! It’s primary purpose is to facilitate larger receptions for families at the conclusion of Memorial services, to host Holiday Church-wide events and a place where the community could gather for special needs and important occasions.
