Baptism is a burial. You go under the water carrying everything the old life was, and you come up on the other side because of what Jesus did. Paul described it as being united with Christ in death so you could be united with him in resurrection.

On April 12 at 6 PM, we're gathering in the Sanctuary to worship and to watch that happen. We'll sing together, pray together, and then stand with the people in our church who are ready to take that step. Come be in the room when they do.

When Mary Magdalene encountered the risen Jesus, she went from looking for a co**se to embracing the living Savior. The moment Jesus spoke her name, there was no hesitation, no doubt—just pure recognition and overwhelming joy.

But Jesus had a purpose for her that morning: "Don't just cling to me, go tell the others." His question to Mary cuts to the heart of our faith journey: "Who is it you are looking for?" Are we seeking a distant historical figure, or the living Christ who transforms everything?

This Easter reminder challenges us to examine what we're truly seeking in our relationship with Jesus.
