Today, we pause…because honor still matters.

Memorial Day reminds us that some things are bigger than preference, politics, and perspective. We still have the ability to stop, remember sacrifice, and honor those who gave their lives for others.

Today, we honor those who gave their lives in service to this nation, remember the families who carry that sacrifice, and stand with those in our House who feel the weight of this day personally.

Today, we take our cue for unity from leaders who rarely agreed on everything, yet still found common ground in honoring sacrifice, courage, and service.
