Prayer for Thursday the week of 6/1/26
Father God, as we go forth our days interacting with others, let us be ever mindful that our relationships, [like doors] both opens and closes depending on ones preference, but unlike the opening or closing of a physical door, a functional relationship is [interactive] a joint activity of mutual responsibility, for whether or not, a door of friendship opens or closes, for how can people harmoniously interact with one another unless they are in agreement, [so we ask you today] Father God, in the name of Jesus, "help us to do our part, and understand the importance of openly caring for our relationships [and not] just pay attention to them when it's individually convenient... [and] in our personal relationship with you... Abba Father, help us to understand that as we prayerfully🙏🏾express our gratitude to you [to be ever mindful] that the highest form of appreciation for who You are in our lives, comes not in just uttering words of thanksgiving, but to live our lives in ways that give Him glory! ...Colossians 3:17

Devotional for Wednesday 5/3/26
[Switching gears] SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT... The root cause of just spinning our wheels & going nowhere [is not always from] lack of effort, being lazy, or generally speaking, being apathetic to what needs doing, it actually lies in the wake of doing something, without a specific purpose, just for the sake of giving an appearance of busyness that not only can be energy-draining, but is non-productive, [which in itself] becomes the source of our stagnation...That's why, [in our daily walk with God] understanding one's purpose is essential, as well as, 'crucial' to being productive in our doings, for as Proverbs 19:21 reminds us... “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails,” and so our first order of business [each day] is to get out of our rocking chair and align ourselves with God's will, [for in doing so] despite life’s uncertainties, we will find hope, direction and fulfillment in our tasks due to our divine calling, and the practical action of entrusting our plans, decisions, and burdens to God, as Psalm 37:5 advises us to do!

Tuesday's devotional for the week of 6/1/26
As a follower of Christian values, being honest, humble and hungry for the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit is crucial, especially doing these trying times of challenges and unsettling discord vibes that seem to be running rampant in the behavior of so many in today's society, causing anxiety to flood our mindset with frustration and distress as we try to do as Luke 6:31 commands, [as we] navigate the challenges of treating people the way we want to be treated [instead of] the complete opposite with those who offend us and play the world's game of tit for tat ... that's why we need to submit our ways to the Lord, and allow the Holy Spirit to help guard our heart, for everything we do flows from it, and shapes the way we live and interact with others. So here's the bottomline, controlling our mindset doesn't mean that we ignore reality, it just helps us to choose a better way to interact with it, so that life's challenges, [and the people in it] become lessons to practice our faith, and not become the 'end all be all' of our ability to love our neighbor as ourselves, for if we constantly react to the worst in people, and let them bring out the worst in us, in this world of declining moral and spiritual values, [in the eyes of God] there are no extenuating circumstances for our behavior, because [for us] in accordance with 2 Peter 2:21, "... it would have been better if we had not known the way of rigteousness..."

Devotional for Monday the week of 6/1 thru 6/5/26
FOOD FOR THOUGHT...When faced with making a critical decision, the value of having the spirit of wisdom and clarity to draw from is immeasurable, so 'thank God' for the gift of the indwelling Holy Spirit, for when you yield to its power, [no matter what the question, or the problem is] the Holy Spirit has the answer and is the solution [as it] provides us with wisdom beyond our knowledge, and provides power beyond our strength & ability to endure a problem to its end, making us better than our best effort and better than our best thought, so that [during our Christian walk] we become the best version of ourselves possible, and in accordance with Galatians 6:9, we activate our faith & not be hesitant in our well doings, for God sees all and knows all, and after its all said and done..."we shall reap what we sow!"

A little rope a dope humor Friday for the conclusion of the week 5/18 thru 5/22/26
Without a doubt, the price of gas is really out of control, I learnt that in a rather upsetting fashion when I pulled into a station, went inside and asked the clerk for three dollars' worth of gas, and looking at me slightly perturbed, He turn his back and let one rip, then turned back to me, offered me a receipt, and laughed...
On another note...
An Arab acquaintance of mine was in his backyard shaking out his rug, I smiled seeing him do that, as it made me think of Alladin and his magic carpet, so just couldn't resist temptation, and asked him, "what's wrong Abdul, rug won't start?

Yeah, I feel ya, enough already... SO, FINALLY...
When I was on crack and heard the term 'just say no to drugs' I would always laugh, thinking that if someone was actually talking to drugs, it's probably too late for them!!!
And as Porky Pig would close... Th Th tha that's all folks!!!

ON A SIDE NOTE... As Psalm 23:2 says, “He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters.” [BECAUSE]
The importance to step back and recharge from your daily routines, and activities should never be understated, [for] as the example set by Jesus to take a break from his daily assignment shows us, "rest" is a gift from God, meant to help us grow and strengthen our faith...so, it is for that reason that I'll be taking a break from sending out devotionals next week, and I pray that you all have a safe, enjoyable, wonderful, and extremely blessed holiday weekend, and beyond... God willing I'll be back atcha on 6/1/26... C Ya!!!

Devotional for Thursday the week of 5/18/26
Never has it been more evident [in our lifetime] that we are actively engaged in a spiritual battle, as the forces of evil no longer hide in the shadows, but now openly & proudly flaunts all its ugliness, no longer disguising itself as being any different than it is...pure evil... patting you on your back with a smile on its face, with an intimidating stare that's designed to make you, me, them and us, 'anyone' that's just trying to live and do right feel utterly hopeless... However, don't give into fear, or allow yourself to become distracted by life in its present form, for God is still in control, so "activate your faith" and refuse to turn aside from the truth of God's Word, for as long as we keep our eyes focused on our problems, we lose sight of the solution provided by our problem solver and burden bearers Word to "trust in the Lord with all our hearts, acknowledge Him in all of our ways, [the good & the bad]... stop trying to decipher life in our own understanding, and just let go and let God order our steps" for when it's all said and done, "God's will" is all that should get our attention [Matthew 6:10]

Mid-week prayer for Wednesday 5/20/26
As we awaken to another day on this side of glory, let us reflex on the goodness of God, for 'nothing that's meant for ill-will towards us can overcome His plans for us... LET US PRAY...
Father God, we acknowledge Your Sovereignty over our lives and "praise" your Holy name... We thank you for your grace, your love [and] your forgiveness, for great is Your faithfulness, so as we humbly come before You today in prayer, in the Name of Jesus, we seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit to remind us that 'trouble' don't last always, for though our weeping my last throughout the night, "joy" comes with the rising of the Son, and every trial, every heartache that comes are way has no room for it to stay, for as Your Word says... "This too shall pass" and as long as we remain steadfast in our faith, our woes will give place to our joyful dancing, that we might [not] be silent in our gratefulness, Oh Lord, for the joy of Your presence in our lives... Amen!!!

Tuesday's devotional for the week of 5/18/26
NOT SO FUN FACT, according to James 3:8 the human tongue is naturally untameable & prone to speak our mind without filter, saying something the wrong way, at the worst time, and immediately wishing we could do a reverse and take it back...we've all been there, I know I have... saying something [that in hindsight] was inexcusable and so crass, it's hard to believe it actually came out of my mouth...[that's why] it pays to do as Psalm 141:3 suggests and ask God to set a guard over our mouth, and keep watch over the door of our lips, because words [once spoken] can never be taken back, and many a reputation has been ruined from the careless banter of someone in desperate need of a gag order; So as Proverbs 10:19 states, "He who holds his tongue is wise" for like an out-of-control wild fire, the impact of a loose lips can spread far and fast, causing irreparable harm & damage to both long-term and short-term relationships...BUT GOD... He gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit to help bridle our tongue, and the inclination to refrain from the use of unwholesome talk, which brings glory to God, and makes the lives of everybody impacted by our thoughts and words a whole lot more peaceful [Ephesians 4:29]

Monday's devotional for the week of 5/18 thru 5/22/26
Though it's true that silence is golden, and it's lack of disturbance can feel you with tranquility...BEWARE when entering a room [with someone in it] and its silence is so deafening, it screams, 'proceed with caution', because in the undertone of its "guietness" can reside different messages that you must be able to decipher, for though some can mean there's peace in the valley, others can hide the rumblings of thunder that indicate a storm is brewing, for depression lies in the quietness of despair, anger perculates in disagreements that lack discourse, and because of words not spoken, silence can be mistaken for compliance...Yet and still, after a trying day, it's good to be able to come home and enjoy a quiet moment to recharge and gather your thoughts, proving without a doubt that silence [is indeed] golden when after a tiring & busy day, the people around you understand and respect your need for a little "me time" in order to enjoy enough peace & solitude to rewind, and relax your mind before doing other things they may want you to give your attention to [Philippians 2:4]
