OVERCOME EYE SERVICE 3
Phil 2:12-18

12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
14 Do all things without [a]complaining and disputing,[b]
15 that you may become blameless and [c]harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
16 holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
17 Yes, and if I am being poured out as a drink offering on the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all. 18 For the same reason you also be glad and rejoice with me.
Work done only when an employer is watching is called eye service. This is nothing but life, of deceit. If you deceive man that you are hardworking and committed to the achievement of the goals of your organization through an outward display when your heart is seen by God to be exhibiting eye service. He will judge you. If you serve so that you can be seen to be qualified for ordination, God sees you and He knows you. He may not stop your ordination but He knows His servants (I Sam 16:7). Repent of your sins. When you exhibit eye service, your flesh is manifesting, you are fulfilling the lust of the flesh you can crucify your flesh and do your best when there is no observer. You don't close from work early just because your boss is not around. Do behind him only what you can do in his presence. You don't keep jobs assigned for you to do only for you to rise and begin to do them when your leader appears. “'A man who is slack in his work is brother to one who destroys”(Proverbs 18:9). “The faithless will be fully repaid for their ways, and the good man rewarded for his” (Proverbs 14:14). Keep busy when you should and not be slack. Be sincere, faithful and committed to your work then you shall be rewarded by God. Remember that God is the One that works in you both to heal and do His good will.

Prayer: I subdue the spirit of hypocrisy in my life. I will remain truthful in Jesus Name?
