In Acts 2, we do not see a quiet prayer meeting, we witness a supernatural invasion. Pentecost is often treated as a past event when it was always meant to be a present reality.
Jesus never intended the Church to admire Pentecost, He intended the Church to embody it. Jesus is not looking for people who simply believe in Him, He is looking for people who are filled, empowered, and activated by Him through the Spirit.
The same Spirit that filled the upper room is not retired, restricted or reduced. God always prioritizes our preparation over our performance!
We want:
• Platforms, He wants purpose
• Influence, He wants intimacy
• Assignments, He wants anointing
Acts 1 teaches us:
• Don’t move prematurely
• Don’t act independently
• Don’t minister powerlessly
