What is in the ordinary?

Join us at Alternative Chapel this semester as we reflect on this question and much more about the ways God is present in the midst of the mundane and everyday.

Mark your calendars for the following Thursdays at the Dixon Center for Chapel:
⚪️ 1/18
🟤 1/25
⚪️ 2/8
🟤 2/15
⚪️ 2/22
🟤 2/29
⚪️ 3/7

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” [Colossians 3:12-17]

We learned so much this semester as we reflected on Deuteronomy 6:4-9:

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”

We hope you will continue in prayer and reflection using these prompts and meditating on the scriptures provided.
