Church family,

I know I thanked you yesterday, but I woke up today still on cloud 9, and I just had to say it again.

What you did for me and my family yesterday meant more to us than I could ever put into words. The love you showed us, the time and effort you put into everything, the kind words, the gifts, the hugs, the fellowship—all of it. I truly believe yesterday was a gift from God that He used each of you to give us.

I want you to know that the love goes both ways. I don’t just love being your pastor—I love YOU. You are my church family, and I thank God for allowing me to serve alongside you, preach God’s Word to you, pray with you, laugh with you, cry with you, and walk through life with you.

Yesterday reminded me again just how blessed my family and I are to call Oak Tree home.

Thank you for loving me. Thank you for loving my family. Thank you for praying for us, encouraging us, and standing beside us. I don’t take any of it for granted.

My heart is full, and I’m just incredibly thankful.

Church family, I just want to say thank y’all so much for everything you did today. You truly made me feel loved and appreciated, and it meant more to me than I can put into words.

I know a lot of work went into making today special, and I want you to know I noticed it and I’m very thankful for every bit of it. The kind words, cards, gifts, food, hugs, and everything else were such a blessing to me.

I’m thankful God has allowed me to be your pastor. I love this church, and I love each of you. It is a privilege to serve the Lord with you and to be a part of this church family.
