The difference between a “Sunday Christian” and a born again believer is faith that leads to repentance.

We see this principle explained in the parable of the ten virgins, as well as in the example of Judas.

You can be amongst Christians, attend church every Sunday, and yet still not be recognized by God. To be recognized by God, you must have faith that Christ is who He says He is, and accept that His payment was sufficient for your sins.

A genuine saving belief in Christ will be evidenced by the changing of your heart and mind to do the will of God.

Examine your heart today and ask yourself: “Do I have a genuine faith, or do I only consider myself Christian because of where I attend church or who I associate myself with?”

At times we can overwhelm ourselves in wanting to do the works of God, without realizing that in order to do those works, we must first be connected to the source, which is Christ. The Bible says that we are the branches and that God is the vine. Apart from the vine we cannot bear fruit. In other words, apart from Christ we cannot do His works.

If you desire to do the will of God, plug into the source. Pray, read, and study the Scriptures. Draw near to Him and He will direct your path.
