START SEPTEMBER WITH THE RIGHT PRIORITIES

The school year is underway, and your schedule is probably getting busier by the day. Classes, homework, sports, activities, friends, and other responsibilities can quickly take up your time.

Don't let your relationship with God become another thing you put on the back burner. Be faithful to church, stay in God's Word, and surround yourself with people who will encourage you to live for Christ.

Our Teen Sunday School class meets every Sunday at 9:30 AM and is a great opportunity to learn God's Word and grow together with other teens.

You have a new class schedule, new teachers, new assignments, and maybe even new friends. As you build your school routine, make sure church is already on the schedule.

Be in your place. Bring your Bible. Invite a friend. Let's make this school year one where we're faithful to God and faithful to church.

A Few Reminders Before School Starts!

Teens: As you head back to school, remember that your school is not just a place for classes, but a mission field where God has placed you. Your classmates need to see Christ in your words, actions, attitude, and testimony, so be faithful to stand for what is right, show kindness, and look for opportunities to share the Gospel. Never be ashamed to let others know that you are a Christian and that Jesus Christ is your Saviour. You may never know how God will use your testimony and faithfulness to reach a classmate with the Gospel and point them to Christ for eternal salvation.

Parents of Teens and Elementary Students: Remember that your influence extends beyond your own children and into the lives of the families around them. The parents of your children’s classmates are watching your life, your testimony, your attitude, and the way you treat others. Use these opportunities to build friendships, be a faithful testimony for Christ, and let your words and actions point other families toward the Lord. School is not only a mission field for our children, but it can also be a mission field for parents as we seek to reach our community with the Gospel.

We post stuff to make you laugh… but also to make you think.

Church should not always be the first thing we cancel when something else comes up. Family gatherings, sporting events, vacations, hobbies, and other activities can all be good things, but none of them should consistently take the place of gathering together in God's House

Maybe this “official excuse” is a little humorous, but it raises a serious question: Have you made church a priority, or simply something you attend when nothing else is scheduled?
