How does knowing that God loves and cares for you strengthen you when you encounter trouble? Romans 8:31 asks, "What then shall we say to these things [troubles in our lives]? God's love is so different from the world's idea of what love is. He expects us to adopt and live in His love. 1 Corinthians 13:4 explains a little what that love is like. It says, "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant."

In James 1:5 we are told, "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."
