In light of the updated forecast, the Elders have made the difficult decision to cancel the worship service today and to postpone our Quarterly Covenant Member Meeting until next week.

Current reports indicate that the edge of the snow band will arrive right around the start of our service. While travel to church may be manageable for many, we are especially concerned about everyone traveling home during potentially heavy snowfall, combined with bitter cold conditions throughout the day.

This decision was not made lightly. We understand that weather forecasts can change. And, we would much rather be gathering together this morning! But as pastors, our responsibility is to exercise wisdom and care for the flock entrusted to us, and we believe this is the most prudent course.

Please stay warm and safe today. We encourage you to honor the Lord’s Day through personal or family worship, spending time in Scripture, prayer, and thanksgiving.

We look forward to gathering again next Sunday, Lord willing!

While we don't know the folks who wrote this opinion piece, we were certainly pleased to see that the signs our members recently displayed around the community were noticed by syracuse.com. They are a small demonstration of Christ's love during these difficult times, and we pray they are an encouragement to many. Blessings!
