In order to be rightly reconciled with someone who has wronged you, you must first forgive them in your heart, free of any ill will or grudge or feelings of retribution, while submitting yourself to cooperate with whatever our Sovereign God is revealing in you through the offense. And even then, there can be no true reconciliation until the one who wronged you comes to genuine repentance for what they did to hurt you.

Whenever our relationship with God is breached, or a relationship in a biblically framed family, or a relationship in a properly structured church fellowship, then God is displeased and grieved, because a broken relationship is oftentime rooted in sin or a breach of covenant trust. And yet even in His displeasure God's desire is to see broken relationships rightly reconciled, both with Him and with one another. And so a key to being rightly reconciled is YOUR ATTITUDE and the key to your attitude is submitting yourself, sooner than later, to the sovereignty of God in whatever He has allowed or disallowed in the relationship that is in question.

An essential element in our strategy to pursue moral purity is that we must guard our mind. Immoral thoughts that infiltrate and pass through our mind are not sinful, but they become sinful when we capture them and rest upon them. And so to guard our mind we must discipline our consciousness, by recognizing ungodly thoughts and fantasies, then renouncing and rejecting them in order to control what our mind rests upon. Guarding our mind includes saturating ourselves with whatever is representative of Biblical truth and steering clear of whatever is contrary to the Biblical standard for morality.

Your eyes are a doorway to your mind. Whatever your eyes continually gaze upon will eventually influence what you think and do. And so if you are serious about your pursuit of moral purity, then you will be intentional about guarding your eyes, in what you allow to come into your visual field of gaze.

God by His Word and Spirit is urging each of us, who profess to be true followers of Jesus Christ, to be vigilant in guarding our physical senses and related thoughts against any physical stimuli that would draw us away from moral purity. We must take good care to guard our visual field of gaze, because the lustful eye leads to lustful thoughts, setting up a craving for what is visually appealing and often leading to temptation and moral wrongdoing, or the distortion of the God given natural drives of our physical body that we would allow to become perverse desires resulting in moral impurities. And so in our pursuit of moral purity it is essential to guard our eyes in our visual field of gaze.

God the Father took the initiative to rescue us from His judgement and wrath by sending His own Son Jesus Christ to bear the penalty for our sin, and so now having been saved and redeemed, born-again by the Holy Spirit in us, God the Father commands us to be morally pure, by way of our sanctification process this side of Heaven. Our sanctification unto moral purity is the effectual outworking of our salvation which includes sexual purity.

To have joy in every situation it's essential to maintain our hope in God's perfect faithfulness, as well as remaining faithful to God's unique calling and purpose for our lives. As such we will experience the fullness of God's promised blessings for us in this life, with a joyful anticipation for our fully redeemed life in the life to come. Everyone is going to live eternally, it's just a matter of which side of eternity you will be on...eternal death apart from Christ or eternal life through Christ Jesus as Savior and Lord of your life now in this life...the choice is yours.

Seeing things from God's perspective is essential for having joy in every situation because there is always a greater good that God is looking to accomplish in the midst of and as a result of even the most difficult situations that we may find ourselves in. By way of God's sovereign, omniscient providence He has a purpose for allowing every situation in our lives and it's from that perspective that we can have joy even in the most unfavorable situations. It's a matter of recognizing the greater work that He is doing in and through us to advance Jesus' Kingdom purposes.

The third essential component for living a holy life is our separation from spiritual compromise. As Holy Spirit filled devoted followers of Jesus Christ, God expects us to avoid any degree of spiritual compromise or contamination in our association, interaction and communication with unbelievers. Our goal as true believers is not to make unbelievers feel comfortable by way of compromising the application of Biblical Truth but rather to avoid spiritual compromise in our relationships regardless of the benefits that we may be afforded by that relationship.
