As we gather for worship this Sunday, May 31, we will reflect on Jesus’ final words to His disciples in Matthew 28:16–20.

The Great Commission began with eleven disciples—not twelve. A group that was imperfect, uncertain, and still learning to trust. Yet Jesus entrusted His mission to them.

What if faith is not about having all the answers?

What if faith is simply taking the next step?

This Sunday, we will explore what it means to be faithful to Christ's mission in every season of life. We will discover that Jesus never said, "Go and build an organization" or "Go and attract a crowd." He said, "Go and make disciples."

Join us as we consider a simple but important question:

Are we still helping people follow Jesus?

This Sunday at Hallie, we explored the powerful story of Pentecost in Acts 2 and discovered that the Holy Spirit did not come to erase our differences — He came to redeem them.

Pentecost reminds us that unity is not uniformity.
Different languages. Different backgrounds. Different people.
One Spirit. One Gospel. One Savior.

In a world that keeps dividing over pride, power, politics, and personality, the Spirit of God still calls the Church to something greater:

humble enough to listen,
mature enough to love,
and Spirit-filled enough to stay united.

Babel divided through human pride.
Pentecost united through the power of the Holy Spirit.

May we be that kind of church.
“One body and one Spirit.” — Ephesians 4:4

Last Sunday afternoon, a number of Hallie UMC members had the joy of attending a 72nd wedding anniversary party for Ray and Gloria Hughes. It was a true joy celebrating this wonderful couple. What a beautiful example of the love God designed for marriage. ❤️❤️

Do you feel as though your troubles have doubled? How do you keep your peace in times of trouble? You can pray, read scripture, and attend worship.

If you have the Lord, you have The Way, The Truth, and The Life. That is enough!

Pastor Paolo’s sermon today spoke of the trouble Jesus faced in the days leading up to His crucifixion and how He handled this trying time by thinking of you, rather than Himself.

You may wish to read John 14:1-14 and review the slides attached for more insight into this powerful message.

What an incredible message Pastor Paolo shared for worship on Sunday. The sermon title was “Who’s Voice Is Leading You?”

Elmer Sharp, today’s worship leader, shared the scripture reading.

Words carry power to either encourage or destroy. An example was given how sheep know their shepherd’s voice and only follow him. Jesus is the voice that can lead us to life everlasting.

Have you been tired, sad, exhausted? Ask yourself this question, “What voices have you been listening to”? Seek out people who fear God, those who know and care for you, those who speak life! Jesus knows your name. You can trust following where He leads you.

Have a great week, Everyone! Hope you can join us next Sunday at 9:00am for worship.

During fellowship we were able enjoy treats from Vicky Joles. Thank you!

Our worship service today was led by Barbara Hill. What a blessing it was hearing once again the story of the road to Emmaus as found in the scripture reading taken from Luke 24:13-35, 44-49. On the day of resurrection, two disciples were walking along the road discussing the events of the day when Jesus appears and begins walking with them. They did not recognize him until later when he broke bread. Have you ever experienced a time in your life that the Lord seemed far from you? Be assured, He is always with you. He calls us to share that good news with others.
