It was so wonderful getting back to our Craft Group this morning at Hallie UMC. We have such a great time making tray favors for Rutledge Home, Aggies Country Living, and other shut ins. We meet the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 9:00 am and would encourage you come join us.

It was a blessing visiting three of our Hallie members this afternoon. I saw Carol at her home and visited Gloria and Jean at Aggies Country Living. Jean was the only one available for a photo this time. It means so much to them having visits from their church family. Please keep them all in your prayers. ❤️❤️❤️

What a blessed Sunday we shared at Hallie UMC! ❤️

Today, as we gathered around the Lord’s Table for Holy Communion, we were reminded that Jesus not only calls us to believe in Him—He also teaches us how to live together as His Church.

Our message, “The Way of Reconciliation,” reminded us that when relationships are hurt or misunderstandings happen, Jesus gives us a better way: not gossip, resentment, or division, but honest conversation, grace, forgiveness, and reconciliation.

Jesus calls us to be peacemakers.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9

May we carry this message into our homes, relationships, church, and community this week.

As far as it depends on us, may we live at peace with everyone.

Thank you, Hallie family, for a beautiful Communion Sunday! 🙏❤️

Are You Still Following?

This Sunday at Hallie UMC, we’ll continue in Matthew 16:21–28 and hear one of Jesus’ clearest calls to discipleship:

“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.”

Peter had followed Jesus. He believed. He had even confessed, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Yet Jesus was still teaching him, correcting him, and shaping him.

And the same is true for us.

No matter how many years we have walked with Christ, there is still room to grow. Following Jesus requires faithfulness to follow, loyalty to remain teachable, persistence to carry the cross, and surrender to place our lives in His hands.

Yesterday’s faithfulness is worth celebrating—but yesterday’s medals cannot run today’s race.

Join us this Sunday at Hallie United Methodist Church as we ask a simple but important question:

“Lord, what does following You require of me today?”

Come worship with us. There is still road ahead—and He is still shaping us.

Hallie UMC

We had a wonderful time of worship together at Hallie UMC this Sunday.

Through Matthew 16:13–20, we reflected on Peter’s powerful confession:

“You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

Peter got the answer right, but he was still growing. He would make mistakes, experience failure, and continue learning what it truly meant to follow Jesus.

That reminded us of something important about the Church: we are still under construction.

Our imperfections are not evidence that Christ has abandoned His Church. They remind us that the Builder is still at work.

Jesus promised, “I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”

Today we celebrated that promise together. Our hope is not in being a perfect church. Our hope is in Jesus Christ, who continues to build, shape, and transform us.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in worship today at Hallie!

❤️What if clean hands are not the same thing as a clean heart?

❤️This Sunday at Hallie, we spent time with Jesus’ words in Matthew 15 and discovered that his concern goes much deeper than outward religious practices. The Pharisees were looking at hands, traditions, and rules. Jesus was looking at the heart.

❤️What lives in our hearts eventually finds its way into our words, our relationships, and the way we treat others. True holiness is not simply about looking right on the outside. It is allowing God to change us from within.

❤️We are grateful for another Sunday together at Hallie—for worship, fellowship, laughter, prayer, and the joy of being a church family growing together in Christ.

❤️Thank you to Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Chippewa Falls for hosting today’s Pure Water Days Ecumenical Worship Service. (That was a quick change of plans from Irvine Park due to the weather forecast.)
❤️The service was near capacity and you would never know there were changes as the worship service unfolded so beautifully.
❤️As we recognized the importance of water in all areas of our lives, we gave thanks by calling upon individuals who brought small containers of water to pour into one vessel, symbolizing we are all one in the unity of Gods love.
❤️Thank you, Pastor Eddie, for the children’s message.
❤️Thank you, Deacon Rose, for the most meaningful sermon based on Matthew 14:22-33.
❤️When Peter asks to walk on the water toward Jesus, he succeeds briefly before fear causes him to sink. Jesus catches Peter, calms the wind, and is worshipped as the Son of God.
❤️Jesus direction for us all is “fear not”! Rather we are to place our trust in Him. May we all step out in faith and share Christ’s love with others.
❤️What a deep spiritual experience when we can all join together at one table and share in communion.
❤️Thank you to all the pastors, musicians, ushers, behind the scenes persons, and congregations, who made this service so incredibly meaningful.
