In this closing reflection on the theme of Divine Doubt, we explore how uncertainty itself can be an invitation — calling us to release our grip, lean into trust, and return again and again to Love as our foundation.

Join Cityside Spiritual Community for an inspiring evening of creativity and community! Begin the night enjoying the Cityside Art Wall featuring the recent work of Dmitry Samarov and stay for a hands-on experience creating your own collage.

Art Wall featuring Dmitry Samarov: “Collages”
“Sometime late into 2020 I started cutting up old drawings, homework assignments, letters, and other ephemera to make pictures. I started by raiding my flat file for failed old art I hadn’t tossed. I cut out or covered up the parts of the compositions that didn’t work or mashed several pieces together to see if they’d generate a spark. Soon there were bins of this and that by my drawing table waiting to go under the knife. It still feels like a new thing but I’m feeling my way forward. The pieces in this show represent the tip of an iceberg I’m planning to map for years to come.”

Workshop: “Sparks from Scraps”
After hearing from artist Dmitry Samarov about the inspiration behind his collages, you’re invited to make your own. Bring your curiosity (materials provided) and let the meditative work of cutting, layering, and arranging surprise you. No art experience needed — just a willingness to play.

As a community, what doubts or uncertainties do we have, whether out in the open or hidden? This week we look at using our doubts to engage with wonder and curiosity as we continue to build webs of love and respect — both within Cityside and in the wider CSL community.

What power and possibility lies in our collective doubts? This week we turn to the collective inner experience — the doubts we share as part of our shared unconscious — and explore what transformations can come from carrying and examining doubt together.

Most people try to change their lives by fixing behaviors on the surface—setting boundaries, thinking positively, or pushing themselves harder.

But the real reason you keep repeating the same patterns in your relationships, career, or decision-making isn’t conscious.

It’s hidden.

In this experiential workshop, you’ll be guided through a powerful introduction to shadow work—the process of uncovering the unconscious patterns that quietly drive your choices, reactions, and results.

You’ll begin to see:

Why you stay in relationships longer than you should
Why you hesitate, people-please, or avoid conflict
Why success or change feels harder than it should
Through guided exercises and reflection, you’ll have a direct experience of identifying one of your core patterns and understanding how it was formed.

More importantly, you’ll leave with a new perspective that allows you to respond differently—so you can begin creating:

Healthier, more honest relationships
Clearer decisions and boundaries
Greater confidence in your direction
Shadow work isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong” with you—it’s about seeing what’s been hidden so you can finally move forward with clarity and intention.
