**Father John's Reflection: Living in the "How Much More"**

What does it mean to live in the "how much more" of God?

As missionary disciples, we begin with a beautiful truth: we are already loved by God. We do not have to earn that love. We do not have to prove ourselves worthy. The Lord says to each of us, "You are my beloved child, and I am pleased with you."

When we truly believe that, our hearts begin to change. We stop asking, "What can I get?" and begin asking, "What can I give?"

Father John reflected on the many volunteers who serve in our Food Pantry Ministry. Time and again, people share the same experience: they came thinking they were there to give something, but they ended up receiving even more. They found joy, friendship, gratitude, and a deeper encounter with God.

Perhaps this is what the Gospel is teaching us. How much more joy do we experience when we serve? How much more hope do we discover when we share? How much more does God bless us when we live as His people?

As people of faith, we are called to trust that God's generosity is greater than our own. The more we give of ourselves, the more we discover the abundance of God's love at work within us.

Jerusalem's story challenges us today. Attending Mass, praying in church, and receiving the sacraments are precious gifts, but they are meant to transform how we live each day.

A Reflection from Father Dennis

In a recent homily, Father Dennis shared four simple but powerful gifts that Jesus offers us: **purpose, priest, pardon, and power.**

He reminded us that through Christ we are never beyond forgiveness. No matter what we carry, we can turn to the Lord with a sincere heart and find mercy waiting for us.

Father Dennis also spoke about the power of the Holy Spirit—not a power that comes from status, success, or the approval of others, but a lasting power that fills us with God's love, kindness, courage, and peace when we open our hearts to Him.

Perhaps the most challenging reminder was that Jesus calls us to be different. As Christians, we are called to bring the life of Christ into the world, even when it means standing apart from what is popular or comfortable. The world may not always understand, but Christ asks us to be a witness to His love and truth.

**Wake up. Be ready. Be filled with the life and power of God. The world needs it, and so do we.**

A Tender Heart in a Tough World

In his homily this weekend, Deacon Alfred reminded us that God calls us to have a tender heart in a tough world.

Too often, we look for the easiest path or rush through our day without noticing the struggles of those around us. Yet the Gospel challenges us to slow down, listen, and respond with compassion. A kind word, a listening ear, a helping hand, or simply being present can make all the difference in someone's life.

There are many people carrying burdens, feeling alone, hurting, or searching for hope. As followers of Christ, we are called not only to see their pain but to act with mercy and love.

The question is not simply, "Who is my neighbor?" but rather, "Am I being a neighbor to someone in need?"

As we go through this week, may we open our hearts to those around us and respond with the compassion of Christ.

Carrying Christ Beyond Corpus Christi

Although the Feast of Corpus Christi has just been celebrated, the mission of the Eucharist continues every day.

In his homily, Father John reminded us that the Eucharist is more than something we receive—it is something we are called to share. Reflecting on the miracle of the loaves and fishes, he challenged us to offer what we have, even if it seems small.

A little time to visit someone who is lonely.
A little patience for someone who needs to be heard.
A little wisdom to guide a young person.
A little kindness for someone carrying a heavy burden.

✨ Already Blessed, Still Becoming ✨

Today's Gospel introduces us to the Beatitudes, the beautiful blessings that begin Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. These words remind us that God is already present in our lives—as we mourn, seek peace, practice humility, and trust in Him.

Yet the Beatitudes also point us toward the future. God's work is not finished. He promises comfort, mercy, justice, and peace as His Kingdom continues to unfold among us.

As people of faith, we live between the "already" and the "not yet"—grateful for the blessings we have received and hopeful for all that God still has in store.

May our prayers begin with gratitude and end with hope, trusting that God is always at work in our lives.

🙏 "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." (Matthew 5:9)
