“Father, thank you for this day. Thank you for who you are and for creating a way for us to grow closer to you. Lord, we know that there is no way that we could ever improve our status with You. There’s nothing we can do that would make You love us any more or any less; but we’re thankful that You gave us the way, in written form, to study, to grow closer to You, to be better image-bearers of your Son so that ultimately we can do better work for Your kingdom and we can display back to you a fraction of the love that you showed to us. Amen”
