Trinity's congregation came together to express heartfelt appreciation for the pastor's wife, Angie Deen, celebrating Pastor's Wife Appreciation Month. 🙏 Council President Denny H. presented Angie with a beautifully crafted wooden cross, adorned with engravings that reflect her faith and passions. Her role may be challenging, but her unwavering faith inspires admiration. Thank you, Angie Deen, for revitalizing our connection to the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, doubling our Women's Bible studies, and supporting your husband in his devoted service to God and Trinity. 💜

Trinity celebrated Shrove Tuesday (aka "Fat Tuesday") with a worship service and breakfast, attended by about 20 members, friends, neighbors, and officials from our zone and district. After the service attendees gathered for food and fellowship as we prepare for the season of Lent which begins tomorrow, Ash Wednesday.

They keep telling us the world is falling apart.
That everything is broken.
That people are selfish.
That hope is naĂŻve.
That kindness is outdated.
Every screen. Every headline. Every scroll.
Fear. Anger. Division. Doom.
But I don’t believe it.
Not for a second.
Because I’ve stood in places like this…
where the sky still burns soft pink and gold,
where trees still reach for heaven,
where snow still hushes the noise,
where the world whispers, “I’m still here.”
I’ve watched my kids laugh until they can’t breathe.
I’ve seen strangers help strangers without cameras.
I’ve felt love show up when it wasn’t convenient.
I’ve witnessed people choose grace when no one was watching.
That doesn’t look like a dying world to me.
It looks like a distracted one.
We’ve become disconnected from the miracle of being alive.
Disconnected from silence.
From stillness.
From sunsets.
From each other.
We’re so busy arguing about everything
that we forgot how incredible it is
to simply wake up and breathe.
To feel cold air in our lungs.
To feel warmth in a hand.
To feel purpose in creating something meaningful.
To feel wonder in the ordinary.
The world isn’t going to hell.
We’re just forgetting how to look up.
Forgetting how to listen.
Forgetting how to slow down.
Forgetting how to be human.
But it’s all still here.
The beauty.
The love.
The hope.
The quiet strength of everyday people.
It’s in moments like this.
In fields.
In skies.
In laughter.
In stories.
In kindness.
You just have to choose to see it.
And I do.
Every single day.
