Dear Harvest Family,
We want to make you aware that several church members have recently reported that their email accounts have been compromised. These accounts have been used to send fraudulent “event invitations” to other members of our church family, encouraging recipients to click a link and provide personal information.
Please use caution with any unexpected email or event invitation, even if it appears to come from someone you know.
If you receive a suspicious email or invitation:
- Do not click any links or open attachments.
- Do not enter or provide any personal, financial, or login information.
- Do not reply to the email.
- Delete the message and report it as spam or phishing through your email provider.
- If you are unsure whether an invitation or message is legitimate, contact the sender another way to verify it before taking any action.
Please note that this does not appear to be an issue with Harvest’s church email system. Rather, individual email accounts belonging to church members have been compromised and are being used to contact others within Harvest.
We encourage everyone to remain vigilant, especially when an email asks you to click a link, provide information, make a payment, or take an unexpected action.
Thank you for helping us keep our Harvest family informed and protected!
