Today’s Devotion: Monday, March 16
Two Sides of Christ’s Love
In John, chapter 2, we see two sides of Christ‘s character. At the wedding in Cana (v 1-12), Christ is the Joy-bringer Who delights to minister to human need and bring gladness to our relationships. But at the Passover in Jerusalem (v 13-25), He is filled with holy indignation and comes with a whip and stern rebuke. Dear Christian, are you willing to accept that Christ’s rebuke is as much an expression of His love as His tenderness and compassion? “For whom the Lord loves He disciplines, and He scourges every son whom he receives“ (Heb. 12:6).

Today’s Devotion-Tuesday, September 9
- We are Weak, But He is Strong.
Hebrews 11:34
The writer of Hebrews notes those who “from weakness were made strong,” by faith (Heb. 11:34). Moses was such a man, who even argued with God to send someone else to deliver Israel out of bo***ge in Egypt, because he felt his own inadequacies (Ex. 3:10 - 4:18). Peter was at first a coward, denying that he even knew the Lord (Mt. 26:69-75). These men are listed among the other heros of the Christian faith in Hebrews 11, but they were weak men before God got a hold of them, as are all of us. God chooses weak men and women to represent His cause, for then He can put His grace on display.
Read 1 Corinthians 1:26-31; 2 Corinthians 3:4-5

Today’s Devotion-Friday, September 5 Accepting Overwhelming Situations by Faith. Hebrews 11:29
“By faith [Israel] passed through the Red Sea as though they were passing through dry land; and the Egyptians, when they attempted it, were drowned” (Heb. 11:29). Israel was trapped against the Red Sea with no way of escape and God had deliberately led them there (Ex. 13:18, 13:21-14:2). Over and over again in the Bible we see God leading His people into overwhelming situations, and He is doing the same thing today: [1] to teach His people to trust more fully in Him, and [2] to turn our whine into worship.

Today’s Devotion- Thursday , September 4 Looking for Greater Riches by Faith.
Hebrews 11:26
Moses considered “the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward” (Heb. 11:26). God’s rewards are greater than the greatest treasures of all the nations, both in duration
and magnitude. For they will be eternally enjoyed and they are beyond all comprehension.
