As Chesapeake Schools go back to school next week we here at Deep Creek UMC are excited about many things happening here are the church. We hope to see you as we FALL BACK INTO CHURCH on Sunday, September 13 @ 10:00am, with our annual Blessing of the Backpacks, 3rd Graders bible presentation, Sunday School Move up day and Celebrate our grandparents!

Help Turn Cans Into Treasures!

Our Missions Team is collecting aluminum cans to benefit the Chesapeake Animal Services Unit. In addition to collecting needed supplies for the shelter, we will have a receptacle outside the church office for aluminum can donations.

The shelter recycles the cans for cash and uses the proceeds to help provide treatments, surgeries, vaccines, and medications for the animals in their care.

So, instead of throwing those cans away, bring them to church and help turn your trash into treasures for shelter animals!

Hollie is exploring the possibility of starting a new women’s circle at DCUMC—a place to build friendships, encourage one another, serve our church and community, and make a difference together.

Whether you currently attend DCUMC, haven’t been in a while, or have found another church home, you are welcome to join the conversation! This is simply an opportunity to share ideas and dream about what this group could become. No pressure and no commitment—just come and see what God might do through a group of women willing to serve and support one another. ❤️
