Wednesday Word is up!

Can you share the gospel with someone of another faith without being hostile...and without surrendering an inch of God's truth?

Telling someone their false belief is "fine" doesn't change the destination any more than telling a child it's okay to ride his bike on the highway changes the semi barreling down it. That's not love. That's the cruelest comfort there is.

2 Timothy 2:20-26 gives us the posture: humility, patience, gentleness — without ever bowing to false doctrine.

What a beautiful morning at Payneton Community Church! 💐

Our First Annual Festival of Tables was everything we hoped it would be — sisters in Christ gathered for worship, fellowship, and the Word.

A heartfelt thank you to our speakers, Mona Selden and Crystal Akers, for sharing their hearts with us, and to Lynne Maddox, our special musical guest for blessing us with her gift.

Also, thank you to all who made this event not only possible, but meaningful.

We'd love to see you at the table next year!

Wednesday Word is up! This week we are wrapping up our series on salvation with a reminder a lot of us need to hear: salvation isn't an IOU we cash in later. Ephesians shows us that access to the Father and a brand new identity are ours right now — not just when we get to Heaven, but today. The gift is already yours. The only thing left is to open it. Check out this week's Wednesday Word, "Open the Gift," and stop leaving it on the shelf.

Wednesday Word is up! This week we are continuing our look at salvation with a question a lot of people wrestle with: can you ever lose it? Ephesians 2 and John 10 make it clear that salvation is a gift rooted in God's grace, mercy, and love — none of which run out. And what you could never earn, you can never lose. Wednesday Word is up! Last week we talked about sin, and this week we get to the good part...salvation. Without getting to salvation, the outlook is grim. This week we are looking at what God's Word actually says about the requirements for salvation: believing on the name of Jesus Christ, confessing him as Lord, and repenting. No moral standard to hit, no certain family to come from, no status required. That word "whoever" in Scripture means exactly that,,, whoever. Watch this week's Wednesday Word and join us Wednesday nights at 7pm for prayer and Bible study, or Sunday morning at 10:30am for worship here at Payneton Community Church.
