There are some changes happening at the church this week. The Building Committee has taken the opportunity, while the pews are removed for the installation of new carpets, to repair the sanctuary lights. Thank you Elder Bobby Thompson, Elder John Buck, and Pastor Mikel Pugh. The Sanctuary will be much brighter this Sunday.

Today, Chatham Presbyterian Church celebrates with our Pastor the 30th anniversary of his ordination. Reverend Mikel Pugh was ordained on June 9, 1996. He was installed at Chatham Presbyterian on August 1, 2004. For three decades, first in Monroe County, West Virginia and then at Chatham Presbyterian, he has shepherded God's people through seasons of joy, sorrow, and spiritual growth. We are deeply grateful for his tireless dedication to proclaiming the Gospel and exemplifying the love of Christ in both word and deed. This week we celebrate God's goodness and the faithful shepherd he has placed among us.

This past Sunday the Ghatham Presbyterian Church Life Committee along with the Tuesday Women 's Circle hosted a "Baby Shower" themed reception to collect items for the newest members in need within the Northern Pittsylvania County Food Center catchment area. Thank you to all who have made donations. We will continue to collect donations through May 21st.
