Visiting Ruth in Malaysia

I, along with our Asia Pacific Area Director (APAD), visited Ruth Devairakam and her family in Kluang, Malaysia from July 8 to July 13. Our visit was to encourage Ruth and her daughters following the recent death of her husband Wilfred, and to offer some training and teaching to equip the family and church members for future ministry. Actions Taken at the 2026 Triennial Convention

On August 17, 211 delegates and more than 300 people joined us at the Triennial Convention at Ridgecrest Conference Center in the Blue Ridge mountains of Ridgecrest, N.C. ACCOVAC Hosts Day for Adults With Special Needs

On August 22, Camp ACCOVAC hosted “Limitless Day”- a day of fun and recreation for adults with special needs. The camp welcomed around 20 participants in addition to their helpers and volunteers. Camp director Brandon Clemmons said they all had an amazing time swimming, hiking, fishing, playing boardgames, shooting BBs and participating in archery. Pastor Matthew Phillips of United Advent Christian Church (Wilmington, NC) just sent us the memorial details for Rev. Adrian Shepard.

The memorial service for Adrian Shepard will take place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at United Advent Christian Church, 4912 South College Road, Wilmington, NC 28412. A visitation will be held at the church at 1:00 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Adrian’s memory to support the Cardiac Rehab program at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center. The Cardiac Rehab program gave us many more years with Adrian than we expected, and for that we are eternally grateful.

Oro Bible College is looking for Advent Christian theology and Advent Christian history books for their library. Some of their copies have worn out over the years as students and faculty have used them for their classes.
