She was only 11 years old… and longed to receive Jesus. 🙏

Blessed Imelda Lambertini loved the Eucharist so deeply that she once asked: “How is it possible to receive Jesus into one’s heart and not die?”

In 1333, after years of waiting to receive Holy Communion, a Host reportedly appeared above her during Mass. The priest took it as a sign from God and gave her First Communion.

Afterward, Imelda remained kneeling in prayer. Hours later, the sisters found she had died peacefully.

Today, she is honored as the patroness of First Communicants. Blessed Imelda Lambertini, pray for us!

Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist. Sometimes he needs to remind us of his Real Presence through Eucharistic miracles, especially those who doubt the Real Presence.

The Vatican has officially recognized the events at Christ the King Church in Vilakkannur, Kerala, India, as an authentic Eucharistic miracle following a rigorous 12-year investigation involving theological and scientific examination.

The extraordinary event occurred on Nov. 15, 2013, during Mass celebrated by Fr. Thomas Pathickal. As he elevated the consecrated Host, a small mark reportedly appeared and gradually became a distinct image resembling the Holy Face of Jesus. News of the phenomenon quickly spread, drawing thousands of pilgrims to the parish.

After years of careful study by the Syro-Malabar Church, the Host was sent to Rome in 2020 for further examination. Following an extensive review process, the Holy See formally approved the miracle in 2025.

The Church approaches claims of miracles with great caution, subjecting them to detailed theological, historical, and scientific scrutiny before making any official judgment. The recognition of this event marks a significant moment for the faithful in India and for Catholics around the world.

Eucharistic miracles serve as reminders of the Church's belief in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist and often inspire renewed devotion, prayer, and faith among the faithful.
