Today 45 ladies ( including 3 of our youth and 2 ladies who saw it on Facebook) came together as part of our Faith in Action ministry. We worked together to create reusable hygiene products for teens and women in Africa who don’t have access to these types of products. The missions committee gave us $1,000 to purchase 3 heavy duty sewing machines and other materials. The Chapin Baptist Womens Ministry, the Thursday Bible Study Group, and others worked together to make this happen. We collected lots of needed materials through donations from people within Chapin Baptist Church. We traced patterns, cut them out, put them together and sewed them. We also made the bags to put them in to send. Each bag holds 6 pads, a washcloth, a sewing kit, safety pins, etc. Thank you to everyone who participated. We enjoyed a time of fellowship as we worked together on this ministry.
