🎙️ EPISODE 91 | THE PASTORAL ASSOCIATES

Your past does not have the final word—Jesus does.

For Episode 91, Kyle Huntsinger sits down with Chapin Baptist Church member and deacon Brad Sheppard to hear his powerful testimony of God’s grace, redemption, and transforming power.

Brad shares openly about difficult seasons, past decisions, and how the Lord met him in some of the darkest moments of his life. His story is a powerful reminder that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace and no story is beyond His ability to redeem.

Today, Brad faithfully serves Christ, his family, and his church—but his story ultimately points beyond himself to Jesus, the Savior who rescues, restores, and makes all things new.

If you’ve ever carried regret from your past, wondered whether someone can really change, or simply need to be reminded of the transforming power of the Gospel, this is an episode you’ll want to hear.

🎙️ EPISODE 4 | SERIOUSLY NIKKI

What happens when God’s Word moves beyond a cliché and becomes something we truly take to heart?

In Episode 4 of Seriously Nikki, Nikki reflects on a message shared with her from the book of Lamentations and challenges us to consider how we receive and respond to Scripture.

📖 Do we turn to God’s Word simply looking for a quick word of encouragement?

Do we read it, agree with it, and then move on?

Or do we allow God’s truth to sink deeply into our hearts, shape the way we think, and actually change the way we live?

God’s Word is so much more than an inspirational quote or a comforting phrase. It is truth meant to be heard, believed, treasured, and lived out.

🎧 Episode 4 of Seriously Nikki is available now on Spotify, Amazon, and Apple Podcasts!

Take a few minutes to listen—and ask yourself: Am I simply hearing God’s Word, or am I taking it to heart?

MONDAY THOUGHT | Psalm 98

“Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things.” — Psalm 98:1

Psalm 98 calls us to worship God not simply because of what we hope He will do, but because of what He has already done.

Sometimes we become so focused on what’s next—the next problem, the next decision, the next thing we need God to do—that we forget to look back and remember His faithfulness.

He has done marvelous things.

So before you rush into everything this week holds, take a moment to remember what God has already done.

Remember His faithfulness.
Remember His salvation.
Remember His goodness.

And then, sing to the LORD a new song.

Sometimes the best way to face what’s ahead is to remember what God has already done.

🎙️ EPISODE 90 IS HERE! | THE PASTORAL ASSOCIATES

What do Jesus, the NYPD, 9/11, New York sports, professional wrestling, Italian food, coffee, and bagels all have in common?

Apparently… one episode of The Pastoral Associates. 😂

For Episode 90, Matt Pressley and Kyle Huntsinger sit down with Gerard Del Prete, owner of Chapin Bagels and Staten Island native, for a conversation you don’t want to miss.

Gerard shares his journey to faith in Jesus Christ, how the Lord has worked throughout his life, and powerful stories from his connection to the NYPD, including his experiences surrounding September 11, 2001.

And, of course, we get a little off track along the way—with conversations about New York sports, wrestling, what actually counts as Italian food, why good coffee matters, and plenty more.

It’s an episode filled with faith, powerful stories, redemption, laughter, New York, and bagels.

Episode 4 — RESPONSE: Open the Door
TRUNK OR TREAT GOSPEL PREP | EPISODE 4: RESPONSE

To to the Chapin Baptist Students YouTube Page for Episode 4!

The Gospel isn't simply information to know—it calls us to repent and believe in Jesus Christ.

In our final Gospel Prep episode, Student Pastor Kyle Huntsinger talks about how we can lovingly open the door for spiritual conversations by asking questions, offering prayer, sharing Christ, and inviting people to consider how they will respond to the Gospel.

This week’s challenge: OPEN THE DOOR.
Ask the question. Offer to pray. Share the Gospel. Invite someone to respond—and trust God with the results.

See people. Listen to people. Speak about Jesus. Open the door.

We’re praying for Gospel conversations as our church serves our community at Trunk or Treat!

Episode 3 — CHRIST: Speak About Jesus
TRUNK OR TREAT GOSPEL PREP | EPISODE 3: CHRIST

Go to the Chapin Baptist Students YouTube Page for Episode 3!

Being friendly isn't the Gospel. Giving away candy isn't the Gospel. Serving our community isn't the Gospel. Jesus is the heart of the Gospel.

In Episode 3, Student Pastor Kyle Huntsinger shares how Jesus lived the life we couldn't live, died for sinners, and rose again—and why we shouldn't be afraid to speak His name as we serve our community.

This week’s challenge: SPEAK ABOUT JESUS.
Look for at least one opportunity at Trunk or Treat to intentionally tell someone something Jesus has done.
