🌿 Monday Meditation from Sunday 🌿
đź“– Exodus 20:15
“You shall not steal.”
This command isn’t only about taking what doesn’t belong to you—it’s about the posture of your heart toward God and others. Stealing flows from a lack of trust: believing we need to take rather than trusting God to provide. It can show up in obvious ways, but also in subtle ones—cutting corners, taking credit, withholding generosity, or living with a mindset of entitlement.
Scripture calls us not just to stop taking, but to start giving. In Ephesians 4:28, we see a shift from stealing to working and sharing—moving from a posture of grasping to one of generosity. That’s the kind of transformation the gospel produces.
God invites us to live open-handed, trusting that He is our provider and that there is greater joy in giving than in taking.
✨ Reflect:
Are there any areas in your life where you’ve been tempted to take, withhold, or act out of entitlement? What would it look like this week to trust God more fully and practice intentional generosity?
