Let us introduce you to Mrs. Tina Rhodes , our CASA Volunteer of the Year for 2026. Since being sworn in on May 30, 2024, Tina has demonstrated exceptional dedication, compassion, and effectiveness in her role as a Court Appointed Special Advocate.
In a relatively short period of time, Tina has taken on four cases involving a total of nine children. Her ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining a high level of care and attention to each child is truly commendable. Of those four cases, three have already been successfully closed, each resulting in reunification with family—a powerful testament to her advocacy and commitment to positive outcomes.
In one case in particular, Tina advocated for a family placement with a grandparent and when reunification was not possible with the biological parents, Mrs. Rhodes fiercely advocated fir guardianship with the grandparent’s and permanency was quickly achieved.
Tina consistently builds meaningful, trusting relationships with children, foster families, case managers, and biological families. She approaches each interaction with empathy, respect and professionalism, ensuring that all voices are heard and that the best interest of children remains in the forefront. Her ability to connect with families has played a significant role in facilitating progress and stability in her cases.
Tina is proactive in identifying and securing resources that benefit the children she serves. Whether she is locating community supports , educational tutoring, sports physicals or family services, she goes above and beyond to ensure that each child has access to the tools they need to thrive.
Tina Rhodes exemplifies the mission and values of CASA through her tireless advocacy and unwavering commitment to children and families She is highly deserving of recognition as CASA of Polk & Haralson’s Volunteer of the Year.
