What a wonderful Easter service we had last Sunday at Calvary! We would like to thank our Worship Team and Decorations Team, Mark Denton, Renee Denton, Reese Denton, Pat Smith, Johnny Smith, for once again preparing & leading us into the beautiful sanctuary of
worship! Pastor Buttrum’s powerful Easter message spoke to our hearts and he was thrilled to end the service with the Baptism of his grandson!

“Hosanna to the King!” “Praise to the Lamb that was slain!” Just a few of the shouts of praise heard at Calvary’s Palm Sunday Communion service as we welcomed in this most Holy Week. Big shout outs to our team that so beautifully prepared our sanctuary and to our amazing worship team! Our hearts were truly prepared for worship. This Good Friday we thank Him for it all!
We would love to have you join us for this coming Easter Sunday to hear and celebrate the rest of the story…our Savior’s glorious resurrection.
Because He lives we can face tomorrow!

Thankfully the predicted ice storm missed us last night! We are having Sunday School at 10 AM and morning worship at 11AM as usual today. The church has been warming all night and coffee & hot buttered biscuits will be waiting for the 10 AM Sunday School! Hoping you can join us at the Father's House on this Lord's Day!🙌

On this 2025 Veterans Day, we want to honor the brave men and women who have worn the uniform and served this nation with bravery and sacrifice. We are grateful to you for the freedoms we enjoy in our country because of your service. We salute you and thank each of you and your families.
We had the honor this past Sunday to pay tribute to our beloved Calvary veterans, some who have gone before us. We appreciate our county commissioner, Linda Liles, for being a part of this honor service and for her dedicated work in helping our local veterans obtain their deserved benefits throughout the years.

More photos from this year’s “Bama and Back” bike ride dinner. Kudo’s to the amazing bikers who rode around 100 miles for Speed the Light, the Assemblies of God program that provides the funds for vehicles of every form for our foreign and home missionaries!
Also, we want to thank all of our Team Calvary volunteers who have provided the best BBQ dinner around for this event for many years. We are saddened this was the last Bama and Back event but excited, knowing that other fund raising projects are planned for this worthy fund!

There and Back Again! 🚲

Yesterday we completed our last Bama and Back event! Over the past 18 years the Georgia District has raised over $750,000 through this event and we’re so grateful for everyone that has supported throughout those years! A special thanks goes to Pastor Jerry and Carole Buttrum for always hosting an incredible dinner for our team of riders! We were also honored to hear from The Kautz family about what STL has meant to them over their years of foreign missions! Way to go Andrew Tedder from Tabernacle Church on being our faster rider to finish 100 miles!

God continues to be faithful as our churches continue to give through Speed the Light!
