FALL FESTIVAL TURKEY DINNER TICKETS NOW ON SALE!

A highlight of St. Patrick's annual Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct. 4, is a wonderful turkey dinner served in the Dutcher Gym from 10:30 AM to 1 PM Advance dinner tickets are on sale now -- adults $13; children grades K-6 $5, and pre-school and younger children free. SEPT. 9 - COFFEE, FRUIT & ROLLS AFTER 8:30 DAILY MASS

Anyone attending the 8:30am daily Mass (St Pat's School Mass) next Wednesday, Sept. 9, is invited to attend a gathering in the Commons afterwards for cinnamon rolls, fruit and coffee. All are welcome. We are trying something new to keep the monthly after-Mass meal tradition going. Hope to see the daily faithful there! -- Jackie, Sylvia, Chris and Jeff

LABOR DAY SCHEDULE FOR ST PATRICK - CEDAR FALLS

The St. Patrick parish office will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, for the Labor Day holiday.
There will be confession at 10:45 - 11:15 am on Monday and daily Mass as usual at 11:30 am in the church on Labor Day.
There will be no Eucharistic Adoration in the Chapel during Labor Day Weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday evenings). Eucharistic Adoration will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 8 pm.

MATTHEW 25 NEEDS BLESSING BAG DONATIONS FOR THE UNHOUSED

Matthew 25 will be making 50 blessing bags again for those experiencing homelessness in the Cedar Valley this Advent season. This round of blessing bags will go to Hospitality House in Waterloo. Hospitality House is a warming station that also provides a meal, the ability to do laundry and shower, as well as necessary items for daily life, and help contacting social services as needed. Hospitality House receives visits from 25-30 new people each month experiencing homelessness.

Items still needed for the blessing bags include: 30 reusable water bottles (used, clean water bottles with working lids are welcome), 100 sets of individually wrapped plastic silverware like you get with takeout, 20 tubes of Neosporin/antibiotic ointment, 40 hairbrushes, 20 combs, 100 hair ties/scrunchies, 50 bike locks (the chain kind), 50 pocket calendars/planners for 2027, 80 working ink pens with caps, 9 wallets/billfolds, 30 adult size nail clippers, 30 nail files, 20 pairs of adult size winter socks, 20 pairs of adult size heavy winter gloves/mittens (used, clean mittens/gloves are welcome if they are in good repair), 50 winter scarves for adults (used, clean winter scarves are welcome if they are in good repair), 75 tuna/chicken and cracker kits, 200 applesauce pouches, 30 packs of baby wipes, 50 sticks of unisex deodorant, multiple boxes of quart and sandwich size Ziploc bags, multiple boxes of pads or tampons in varying sizes, and multiple travel-size bottles of body wash. Many of these items can be found inexpensively at Dollar Tree or purchased inexpensively in bulk on Amazon. Please drop off all donations in the shopping cart outside the Matthew 25 outreach office or on the Matthew 25/social justice table in the link hallway by 3:00pm, Friday, October 9. Please collect your Hy-Vee receipts and drop them off at the school or parish office. These receipts help us earn money for school improvements, but only those dated June 1st or later will count for this school year.

The Christ Our Life Conference is coming up the last weekend of September, and our pastorate is looking into a possible charter bus for those who would like to attend but don’t have a ride. This would be a one-day trip leaving early morning (7 AM) from St. Patrick - Cedar Falls and returning late evening (11 PM). Estimated cost per seat is $30. Participants would also be responsible for purchasing their own conference pass ($40) for adults 24 or older. Age 23 and under can attend free, but must register for the conference.

IF YOU WEREN'T ABLE TO GET A BULLETIN THIS WEEKEND ...

We were a little short on bulletins for this weekend's Masses, so parishioners at the 10 AM Mass at St. Patrick - Cedar Falls and St. Stephen - Cedar Falls at 11 AM may not have seen or gotten a bulletin by the time your Mass rolled around.

Extra printed copies of this weekend's bulletin will be available in the Atrium before daily Mass at St. Patrick at 11:30 AM Monday, as well as at the church office. You can also find an online version of the bulletin at this link:
