This is the offertory I will be playing this Sunday. Because it is communion Sunday, Fellowship with coffee and cookies will begin at 9 a.m. with the service beginning at 9:30 (prelude begins at 9:20). The offertory is shorter than usual this week because I play more music during communion. Our guest speaker will be Rev. Allen Waldecker as we continue our search for a new pastor.

"I Give All to You" is a simple, lyrical praise and worship song composed by Larnelle Harris.

I give all my worship to You
I give all my worship to You
No matter the cost, or what others do
I give all my worship to You.

Any two syllable "offering" can be substituted for the word "worship" to create new verses.

I will playing "On Jordan's Stormy Banks I Stand" arr. by Mark Hayes, as the offertory tomorrow at the Cawker City Methodist church (Aug. 23). Service begins at 9:30 (or 9:20 if you want to hear the prelude). Jenny Ahlvers Russell will again be our guest speaker as we continue our search for a new pastor.

1 On Jordan's stormy banks I stand,
and cast a wishful eye
to Canaan's fair and happy land,
where my possessions lie.

Refrain:
I am bound for the promised land,
I am bound for the promised land;
oh, who will come and go with me?
I am bound for the promised land.

2 O'er all those wide extended plains
shines one eternal day;
there God the Son forever reigns,
and scatters night away. [Refrain]

3 No chilling winds or poisonous breath
can reach that healthful shore;
sickness and sorrow, pain and death,
are felt and feared no more. [Refrain]

4 When I shall reach that happy place,
I'll be forever blest,
for I shall see my Father's face,
and in his bosom rest. [Refrain]

This is the Offertory I will be playing Sunday, August 16th: "Since I Have Been Redeemed." Come hear Jenny Ahlvers Russell who will be the guest speaker this Sunday and for the following two Sundays.

This joyous piano arrangement was arranged by Mark Hayes and is found in Vol. 3 of his "The Art of the Piano" series. Here are the lyrics, if you are not familiar with this hymn:

1. I have a song I love to sing,
Since I have been redeemed,
Of my Redeemer, Savior, King,
Since I have been redeemed.

Chorus:
Since I have been redeemed,
Since I have been redeemed,
I will glory in His name;
Since I have been redeemed,
I will glory in my Savior's name.

2 I have a Christ who satisfies,
Since I. have been redeemed,
To do His will-- my highest prize,
Since I have been redeemed.[Chorus]

3. I have a witness bright and clear,
Since I have been redeemed,
Dispelling ev'ry doubt and fear,
Since I have been redeemed.[Chorus]

4 I have a home prepared for me,
Since. I have been redeemed,
Where I shall dwell eternally,
Since I have been redeemed.[Chorus]

1. I have a song I love to sing,
Since I have been redeemed,
Of my Redeemer, Savior, King,
Since I have been redeemed.

This was the offertory I played last Sunday, "He Who Began A Good Work In You" by Steve Green and based on Philippians 1:6. ( I apologize for the occasional wrong notes). The lyrics are:

He who began a good work in you
He who began a good work in you
Will be faithful to complete it
He'll be faithful to complete it
He who started the work
Will be faithful to complete it in you

If the struggle you're facing
Is slowly replacing
Your hope with despair
Or the process is long
And you're losing your song in the night
You can be sure that the Lord has His hand on you
Safe and secure, He will never abandon you
You are His treasure
And He finds His pleasure in you.

This song really hits home as we begin the search for a new pastor for our church.
