Dear Family of God,

Sunday is coming… This Sunday, we will gather together for a special cooperative worship service with Oakwood United Methodist Church- two churches, one body in Christ. Our worship will be held here at Catlin United Methodist Church at 10:30am.

As we enter the first Sunday after Pentecost, also known as Trinity Sunday, we will reflect on Jesus’ great promise:
“Remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)

The church has its seasons- Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, Pentecost, and Ordinary Time. This Sunday begins that long season of “ordinary time.” The risen Lord is with us in every season.

Where do we find the risen Lord?

We find Christ wherever God’s people are worshiping.
We find Christ wherever God’s people are serving.
We find Christ wherever God’s people are suffering.

God is always near. God is always here. God is always in charge. God is always with us.

Join us as we worship together. The bells will be ringing, we will bless our fourth mat for the Dwelling Place, and we will bless those attending Annual Conference in the week ahead.

Sunday is coming… and there is a place for you.

See you Sunday at 10:30!

A former roadside attraction is now full of rusted relics. Some say this place is hopeless-but is it? As kids see restoration in the junkyard, they'll explore how God can take what's broken and make it new!

Dear Family of God,
Sunday is coming… and it’s Pentecost Sunday!

This week in worship, we will reflect on “What Pentecost Teaches Us.” What are the signs of a healthy faith? What are the signs of a healthy relationship with God? healthy relationships with others? a healthy relationship with ourselves?

Pentecost reminds us that God’s Holy Spirit meets us right where we are. The Holy Spirit equips us with trust, courage, love, and power for living. Like Simon Peter, we discover that when we do our best and trust God for the rest, God’s Spirit is already at work among us.

On that first Pentecost day, people of different nations, languages, and backgrounds were brought together by the Holy Spirit, symbolizing that together we are the family of God.

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit, seek a fresh movement of God in our lives, and worship together on this Memorial Day weekend. Our chancel choir will be singing two choir anthems as a part of the service.

You are invited to wear red for Pentecost. See you Sunday!

Sunday is coming, dear family of God.

This week, we conclude our worship series, “Called,” with the story of Esther and the reminder that we are “Called For Such A Time As This.”

Over the past several weeks, we have walked alongside Samuel, Mary, Moses, Paul, and the woman at the well. Each story has reminded us that God is faithful to call ordinary people into extraordinary moments of grace, courage, healing, and hope.

This Sunday, Esther enters the room.

Esther’s story reminds us that even in uncertain and difficult times, God is still at work. Though Esther was afraid, she stepped forward in courage to answer God’s call and to stand up for her people. Mordecai’s words still echo into our lives today: “Perhaps you are called for such a time as this.”

Those words are not only for Esther. They are for us.

As the Church, we are called for such a time as this- to act with justice, to love tenderly, to serve one another, and to walk humbly with God. We are called to be the hands and heart of Christ in our community and in our world.

This Sunday will also be Graduation Sunday as we celebrate our graduates and pray God’s blessings upon the new chapters opening before them.

Join us Sunday as we gather in worship, celebrate God’s faithfulness, and remember that this is our moment to live God’s call together.
