Dear Family of God,
Join us this Sunday, November 1, for a beautiful morning of celebration as we honor the many gifts and graces in the body of Christ!

We celebrate 190 years of the faithfulness of Catlin United Methodist Church as we continue to participate in God's ministry and mission in the world. What a blessing to look back on the many stories, lives, and generations of faith that have shaped our church, while looking forward to all that God still has in store for us! God is not done with us yet!

We also celebrate United Women in Faith Sunday, giving thanks for the faithfulness of our Catlin United Women in Faith in mission to our community and our world.

And this Sunday, we celebrate All Saints' Sunday. By saints, we mean those persons who have influenced our faith development, whose presence is still felt in our lives even though they now rest from their labors. Saints are those who have gone on to glory, but saints are also those who are living, sitting in these pews today. Saints are people who have been and continue to be a light in the lives of others — who model a living faith in Jesus Christ.

We remember those special people who have influenced our faith journeys and the life of the Church —Sunday School teachers, pastors, close relatives, mothers, fathers, and so many others. We give thanks to God for the privilege of walking alongside them and for their lasting influence in our lives.

We will be blessed to have our District Superintendent, Rev. Sara Isbell, present with us in our worship. She will be presiding over the Communion table.

We will also look forward to the chancel choir sharing an anthem as the prelude to our worship.

We hope you will join us Sunday for worship and fellowship as we celebrate together.

Another great trunk or treat. We had nine cars and lots of kids. We even took a hay rack ride after trunk or treat. Thank you to everyone who participated and made it another great event. Happy Halloween 🎃 👻 🎃 👻

Dear Family of God,
As we enjoy the beauty of autumn and prepare for Halloween, may we remember that every smile, every act of kindness, and every warm welcome is an opportunity to share God’s love!

Tomorrow, we will welcome our community for Trunk or Treat from 5:00pm-7:00pm in our church parking lot. What a wonderful opportunity to connect with our neighbors and remind them that they are loved!

This Sunday, we will gather for worship as we reflect on Jesus’ commandment to love God and love our neighbors as ourselves.

I hope you will join us for worship as we celebrate God’s love and reflect upon how we can continue sharing God's love with others. There is a place for you here, and we are always glad to worship together!

May the light of Christ continue to shine through us in all we do.

The "Don't Tell Mom, Dad Said Yes" trailer will be in Catlin on Saturday night.

👻 I heard there are some trunk-or-treats happening in Catlin tomorrow… how about a TRAILER?! 😏🎃

Don’t Tell Mom, Dad Said Yes will be set up at the Catlin IGA tomorrow from 4–7 PM!

Swing by for a dirty soda, fresh lemonade, or loaded popcorn to fuel your trick-or-treating adventures! 🥤🍿

🍬 We’ll have candy for the kiddos—no purchase necessary for candy!

Bring the kids, wear those costumes, and make us part of your rounds. Because the kids shouldn’t be the only ones getting treats! 😉

Trunk or Treat this Saturday!

Join us for our annual beloved Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 24 from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
Can’t wait to see all of the different trunks and costumes!

As of right now, the weather on Saturday looks good. That means we will plan to set-up our trunks and serve in our church parking lot.

We look forward to this opportunity we have to share the love of Christ with our neighbors.

Dear Family of God,
Tomorrow, we gather for worship as we reflect on one of the most beautiful gifts God offers us: grace!

God’s grace is at the heart of our faith. It is God’s forgiving love that offers us new beginnings, God’s accepting love that welcomes us as we are, and God’s empowering love that helps us grow in faith and become more like Christ.

The wonderful thing about grace is that we don’t have to earn it. God loves us because God is love. God's amazing grace is a gift offered to each and every one of us!

Come join us as we worship together, celebrate God’s amazing grace, and remember that we are loved, forgiven, welcomed, and strengthened through Jesus Christ.

Dear Family of God,
Catlin United Methodist Church was founded in 1836, which means that this year, we are celebrating 190 years of faith, fellowship, and service! For 190 years and counting, the people of God of the Catlin United Methodist Church have worshipped, cried, loved, served, fellowshipped, and lived together. We have been the church and we are the church!

Please join us on Sunday, November 1, at our 10:30 a.m. worship service as we celebrate Catlin UMC’s 190th anniversary. During worship, we will also remember and give thanks for the saints who have gone before us and commemorate United Women in Faith Sunday.

We give thanks for those who have helped build and sustain the church over the past 190 years. We are grateful for all who are part of our church family today and for the ways God continues to lead us into the future.
