Dear Brothers and Sisters,

At a recent coordinating council meeting that included 12 stakes in Wyoming and Colorado, we, as Stake Presidents, were made aware of the plight of farmers and ranchers in our area due to drought conditions. Each president committed to inviting all members in the area to join in a special fast for moisture on Sunday, April 12th.

I invite you to join me and include with your fast this weekend a plea for an end to the drought and to ask our Heavenly Father for the moisture our area so desperately needs. I know the collective prayers of our 12 stakes will not go unnoticed.

Thank you.

President Steve Higginson

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

For your information, beginning the first week of September 2026, the class schedule during Sunday worship will change.

In the new schedule, sacrament meeting will continue to be no longer than 60 minutes. After a 5‑minute transition, youth and adults will attend a 25‑minute Sunday School class each week. Following another 5‑minute transition, they will attend a 25‑minute priesthood quorum, Relief Society, or Young Women meeting. Primary will continue to meet weekly and will now last 55 minutes.

Sunday School and Primary classes will study the scriptures using Come, Follow Me—For Home and Church. Elders quorums and Relief Societies will continue to study messages from the most recent general conference. Youth will use a new and expanded edition of For the Strength of Youth: A Guide for Making Choices, supported by material available in Church magazines. Quorums and classes will no longer counsel together about a specific topic prior to these lessons.

Additional information is available at ChurchofJesusChrist.org. We are confident that members will be blessed by these changes.

Sincerely yours,

The First Presidency
Dallin H. Oaks
Henry B. Eyring
D. Todd Christofferson

One thing the Creation story teaches us is that God can, over time, make something magnificent out of something unorganized. That’s helpful to remember when life seems chaotic. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are Creators, and Their creative work with us is not finished. They can make light shine in dark moments in our lives. They can fill our emptiness with life. They can transform us into the divine beings we were meant to be. That’s what it means to be created in God’s image, after His likeness (see Genesis 1:26). We have the potential to become like Him: exalted, glorified, heavenly.
