Every boy is asking three questions: What’s my mission? Who’s in charge? Who’s with me? He may not say it out loud, but you’ll see it in the way he sizes up his coach. In how he mimics his older brother. In the way he pushes boundaries and tests limits. He’s not trying to be bad. He’s searching for meaning. He’s striving to find his place, to understand who he is.
Boys crave clarity. And when we don’t give it to them, they drift. That’s what’s happening today. In homes, in schools, in culture—boys are losing ground. Not because they’ve changed…but because we’ve stopped calling them up.
If we fail this generation, it won’t be because we over-challenged them. It will be because we under-challenged them. At Trail Life USA, we’re listening to boys. And we’re answering—with godly mentors, real adventure, and a clear path to manhood.
