Faith is still in search of a bi-vocational pastor. We were founded in 1978 as an independent church rooted in the belief and doctrine of the Free Will Baptist denomination, and preaching only the KJV. We remain true to those standards today.
We are a small, country church centrally located in Pickens County, AL on state highway 86, just 5 miles east of Carrollton. Tuscaloosa, AL is 30 miles east of us and Columbus, MS is 45 miles west. Between 2,500 and 3,000 vehicles pass by our church daily, so we have ample opportunity for growth!
We are a welcoming congregation and are active in the support of foreign and local missions/causes. Furthermore, we continue to move forward, for the Bible says in Proverbs 29:18 that “where there is no vision, the people perish”. Recent renovations included upholstering of our pews and pulpit chairs, and the next project we hope to undertake is new sanctuary carpet.
While we’ve been searching for a pastor for 3 years now, we continue to trust that God will send the right man in His perfect timing. With that said, God has never left our pulpit empty and we have even experienced growth in both spirit and numbers during this time.
