Regardless of our political differences we are One in the Lord. You are invited to thin time of prayer on Monday at 7pm.
On Monday, Nov. 2, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Washington Office will host a prayer vigil at 7 pm (EDT) as we prepare for Election Day.
Regardless of our hopes for the election’s outcome, this service will be an opportunity to come together in prayer to remember that we belong to God and to reaffirm our sacred responsibility to uphold the needs and dignity of our communities and all of God’s people.
Voting is both a civic duty and a sacred responsibility. With this in mind, we invite you to gather with us to center ourselves in God, reflect on God’s Word, and seek guidance as we faithfully live out our call to consider how our vote is one way to live out scripture’s call love and serve our neighbors.
Join the Rev. Jimmie Hawkins and the Rev. Christina Cosby, alongside PCUSA Co-Moderators of the General Assembly, the Rev. Marta Pumroy-Cordero & the Rev. Dr. Kristopher D. Schondelmeyer, and the Stated Clerk of the General Assembly and Executive Director of Presbyterian Life & Witness, the Rev. Jihyun Oh, as we pray for peace, hope, and unity for our nation.
