Wanted: Card tables. Do you have one the church can borrow this summer for the weekly mahjong nights? We've bought three but we already need five for our first gathering this coming Wednesday! If you have one we can borrow (or at least borrow for several weeks), talk to Rev. Cara.

Happy Ascension Day!

Forty days after Easter, the Church celebrates Jesus’ ascension into heaven. The disciples were told to stop standing around staring at the clouds… and start sharing the Good News.

Still a message the Church needs to hear from time to time.

Last Sunday, our parish came together in a remarkable way to support children in the Carmel Clay Schools who face food insecurity. With energy, generosity, and a spirit of compassion, volunteers packed more than 1,200 backpacks filled with nourishment and care for a child in need. This effort reflects the heart of our community and mission: showing up, giving generously, and making a tangible difference.

We are grateful to everyone who donated food items, organized supplies, and gave their time to pack. Because of you, hundreds of children will have access to meals they might otherwise go without.

A Collect for May 4th:

Celebrant: May the Fourth be with you.
People: And also with you. ✨

Let us pray.

O God, who brings light out of darkness and peace out of chaos,
guide us in the ways of your love—
that we may resist the pull of the dark side,
walk in the light of hope and justice,
and use the gifts you have given us for good.

Grant us the courage of the faithful,
the wisdom of the humble,
and the patience of those who wait for redemption—
whether in a galaxy far, far away or right here among us.

And may the Force—your holy and life-giving Spirit—
be with us always. Amen.

We had a successful working party today in the garden!

Seventeen volunteers rolled up their sleeves to w**d beds, refresh mulch, and get everything ready for planting season. Meanwhile, our beekeepers were busy preparing the apiary for some new arrivals this May.

Thank you to everyone who helped!

🌎 Happy Earth Day!

We give thanks for God’s beautiful creation and renew our call to care for it.

Let us pray: Almighty God, you have created the heavens and the earth and made us in your image: Teach us to discern your hand in all your works and to serve you with reverence and thanksgiving; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Take a moment today to step outside and give thanks.
