What do you do when God asks you to take a step of obedience when you don’t understand? When you can’t see how it will all work out? When you’re confused, worried, or afraid?

This weekend, Lead Pastor Jon Henninger reminded us of Abraham’s ultimate test on Mount Moriah and his response of faith in the face of an unimaginable situation.

It’s our prayer that no matter how unlikely the situation, that we would be people who believe like Abraham did. That we would walk in obedience even when we can’t see the outcome. That we would be people who trust God deeply because we know His character and recall His promise that provision is on the way for those who walk in faith.

Do you ever feel like you’re climbing a mountain, facing trial after trial? Mt. Sinai is represented throughout Scripture as a place where Moses faced real challenges time and time again, yet it was also the place where God met him, shaped him, and revealed more of Himself. ⛰️

Our mountain moments are like that too. The journey isn’t always easy, but it represents the process God is taking us through to develop us into all He has for us. Not every moment is picture perfect, but soon you’ll look out at the summit and see that God was preparing you in ways you never could’ve imagined.

To stand in the gap.
To create safe spaces.
To be the hands and feet of Jesus for the vulnerable.

Today, Lead Pastor Jon Henninger kicked off a brand new series about Mountain Moments. Up first, Mt. Ararat. Mt. Ararat represents grace, faithfulness, and a fresh start. God is still guiding, protecting, and preparing a place of rest for us. The story of Mt. Ararat shows us the power of trusting God when we do not understand the process, serving while we wait, and worshiping both in the storm and after the breakthrough.

When was the last time you allowed your heart to break for what breaks God’s heart?

The truth is, we can’t fix every problem, but we ARE called to do SOMETHING. Whether it’s the homeless person we pass, the shut-in who can’t attend church, or the orphans in our community, God wants to use US to bring Heaven to earth.
