What's Nominations Without Leadership Development?
Often referred to as the Nominations Committee, time is hastily spent identifying and sometimes begging people to serve on a committee within the church. What if we embraced the full title of this committee in our work? It is the committee on Nominations and Leadership Development. If we spent time focused on leadership development throughout the year, we could select growing leaders to serve in areas of passion and interests, seeking to unleash people for ministry work. Leadership development is grounded in scripture as we see examples throughout the Bible. Participants will learn the charge given for the committee on Nominations and Leadership Development: to identify, recruit, develop and deploy spiritual leaders for the ministries of the church. Participants will learn about tools that can support an ongoing leadership development plan. Time will be given for questions and answers at the end.
