See a NEED; MEET a Need!
TUESDAY IMPACT: Today we are highlighting PRESTON'S PEOPLE weighted blanket ministry.
Preston's People was started in 2016 when one of our church members decided to make a weighted blanket to replace one that her grandson was borrowing. She saw a huge need in the community for these. It was a very time consuming process, so the Wesley family decided to jump in and make this a church mission. Lots of talented volunteers and definitely a lot of prayers go into each blanket. We are getting close to over a thousand blankets made. Once completed these blankets are laid across our sanctuary and blessed. The blankets are prayed over by the entire congregation with hands laid upon each of them.
We have distributed blankets to about 20 different schools in 7 different Missouri counties and even into Illinois. They are also shared with individuals and various organizations such as family services, nursing homes, dentists office and much more. We hope comfort, joy, and blessings follow each and every blanket shared.
