Yesterday in Kids church, we celebrated the end of the school year and discussed the importance of finishing well. We read 1 Corinthians 9:24 (“Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize?”) and discussed what Paul meant by it. Just because it is obvious does not mean it is easy! Just like athletes have to train hard to run and win a race, students need to study and focus to finish strong. It’s not always easy and it’s not always fun, but you don’t want bad grades either. We discussed how our faith is no different; we have opportunities to share the love of Jesus by how we help people and how we talk to people. These things may be exciting at the beginning of the school year, but sometimes by the end of the school year we forget. We forget that our classmates still need to see and hear about the love of Jesus. And just like runners in a race, we still need to keep training. We also played game based on teamwork 🙏🏻❤️
