What an incredible day of community outreach at Praise in the park! So grateful to have taken part alongside Pastor Donald Carey and Kingdom Harvest International this past Saturday at Dudley Grange Park, sharing hope and serving our neighborhood.

We hope everyone is having a wonderful Labor Day! As a reminder, the Camden Kroc Center is closed today in observance of the holiday.

There is also scheduled annual maintenance for the Water Park and Competition Pool. The Competition Pool will be closed 9/8 - 9/14 and the Water Park 9/14 - 9/18.

Your time, energy, and compassion help us get nutritious food and essential resources into the hands of our local neighbors who need them most. From setting up and organizing to welcoming families with a smile, you are an essential part our this mission to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

We had a wonderful morning celebrating our neighbors and educators at the Camden City School District's 2026 Welcome Back Convocation! We are honored to serve as a third home for many CCSD youth and collaborate with our local partners to empower the next generation.

We were proud to welcome our partners from The Cooper Foundation , Camden County Police Department , and Camden County Government and City of Camden Government leadership to The Salvation Army Camden Kroc Center for the presentation of a $10,000 Cooper Foundation grant to support the Village Initiative Open Gym program.

The Villiage Initative creates a safe, welcoming space where young people can build relationships, stay active, and connect with trusted adults and community partners including the officers who serve Camden every day. We are proud to be one of the host locations of this wonderful program.

This investment reflects what happens when philanthropy, law enforcement, county leadership, healthcare, and community organizations come together around a shared commitment to Camden’s youth and families. We’re grateful to the Cooper Foundation and all of our partners for continuing to invest in programs that strengthen relationships, create opportunity, and make a meaningful difference in our community.

The Hispanic Heritage Month Community Leadership Awards are an initiative of The Salvation Army Camden Kroc Center, presented in partnership with the Rutgers University–Camden Division of Impact & Community Engagement (DICE).
Held in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month, the awards celebrate individuals and businesses whose leadership, service, and contributions strengthen Camden City, particularly its Hispanic/Latino/e communities. *Eligibility Note: Nominees are not required to identify as Hispanic or Latino/e.

The nomination form will ask for the nominator’s contact information, the nominee’s information, the selected award category, and a brief description of the nominee’s leadership, service, and community impact. The bilingual form is available in English and Spanish and takes approximately five minutes to complete.

Award recipients will be recognized during The Salvation Army Camden Kroc Center’s Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration on Friday, September 18, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
