🕊️✨ Beneath the Light ✨🕊️

At the center of this window stands the Communion chalice, a timeless symbol of Christ’s invitation to His table. Through ordinary bread and cup, God offers extraordinary grace. The golden chalice reminds us of the precious gift of salvation, while the deep blue glass reflects the faithfulness and presence of God among His people.

For generations, Christians have gathered around the Lord’s Table to remember Christ’s sacrifice, celebrate His resurrection, and proclaim the hope found in Him.

“The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a sharing in the blood of Christ?”

The donations keep coming, the tables keep filling, and our volunteers keep working hard!

As we prepare for our Community Rummage Sale, we want to thank everyone who has donated items and offered their time to help. A special word of appreciation goes to the Helping Hands Women’s Group of Ninth Street United Methodist Church for their leadership, dedication, and countless hours of work in bringing this event to life.

From furniture and household goods to unique finds and hidden treasures, there is something for everyone!

Beneath the Light ✨

This week, our stained glass reflects the beauty of the field and harvest, reminding us that God is always at work bringing growth, renewal, and life from the seeds that are planted in faith. In every act of kindness, every prayer offered, every hymn sung, and every hand extended in love, the Spirit continues moving among the people of Ninth Street.

Pentecost may have been celebrated last Sunday, but the fire of the Church was never meant for only one day. We are called to carry that light forward into our homes, our community, and the generations still to come.

🎶🇺🇸 Tomorrow evening, Ninth Street United Methodist Church will host Notes in Motion: Music and Tribute featuring the students of Owen Buxton alongside local chamber orchestra members for an evening of music, remembrance, and community. 🇺🇸🎶

From piano and violin solos to choir, organ, and strings, this concert reflects months of dedication, growth, and hard work from musicians of all ages. We are incredibly proud to provide a space where young musicians can share their gifts within the beauty of our sanctuary. ❤️⛪️

🪷 Beneath the Light ✨

This week, we pause beneath the stained glass Water Lily, long described in our sanctuary’s history as a symbol of baptism, renewal, and the new life found in Christ. 💧🌸

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17

As we move toward Pentecost Sunday, we are reminded that the same Spirit who descended upon the Church still renews hearts, strengthens faith, and calls us forward together as the family of God. 🕊️✨

Through every season, these windows continue to shine over generations of worship, prayer, music, and fellowship within this church family. ⛪️

Kick off your summer with an evening of music, community, and celebration at Notes in Motion: Music & Tribute on Sunday, May 24 at 5:00 PM at Ninth Street United Methodist Church.

Presented by Owen Buxton’s students and returning chamber string orchestra, this Memorial Day weekend concert will honor faith, sacrifice, growth, and the American spirit through sacred hymns, American folk traditions, patriotic selections, orchestral favorites, classical masterworks by Mozart and Gustav Holst, and music from Broadway composer Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Most importantly, this evening is about students. From young beginners taking the stage for the very first time to advancing musicians continuing to grow in confidence and artistry, Notes in Motion celebrates the musical journey unfolding right here within our community.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to orchestra conductor Jaquelyn Bradshaw for her dedication, leadership, musicianship, and the countless hours she has devoted to helping prepare this special evening of music. 🎼

Whether you are part of our church family, supporting a student, or simply looking for a meaningful way to begin the summer season, we would love to welcome you through the doors of Ninth Street. ⛪️✨
