“Oral Roberts found it frustrating when church folks planned large extravaganzas for the unsaved and “un-churched,” expecting those folks to show up at the church building—while having little or no outreach outside the four walls of their church.

Oral believed it was more successful for us to go to those who needed the Lord, rather than to expect them to come to us.

He believed that the church building should be similar to a filling station. People who already knew the Lord were to go there to get filled up with Jesus, so they would be prepared to go and tell others outside the church.

His “Oralism” was: “The church says ‘Come!’ but Jesus said to “GO!”
