As a congregation, we believe our mission is: To Glorify God by Making Disciples, Through Worship, Prayer and Service to Others. We have a long history of ministry and mission in Cambridge, Ohio. We know we don't fulfill our mission perfectly, but we do believe the Lord Jesus Christ is still working on us, as well as in and through us.

Christ "descended into hell." What in the world does this mean? Is it even biblical?
When we understand what it means, it's actually really good news!
Here's Pastor Jeff Bergeson's sermon from this morning addressing this very subject.

We confess in The Apostles' Creed that Jesus "descended into hell." This sounds like God is unkind at best and sadistic at the worst, if Jesus "went to hell...

For the month of July, the Cambridge Presbyterian Church will be gathering for worship in our Steubenville Ave. facility (aka First Presbyterian Church).
Pastor Jeff Bergeson will continue his sermon series going through aspects of our Creeds that we may not always think about or fully understand. This Sunday, July 2, we will consider what it means in the Apostles' Creed when we confess that Jesus "descended into hell." We may be surprised and actually encouraged when we learn what this really means.

Worship will be in-person and online at 10:00am. To worship with us online, please visit our YouTube Channel at 10:00am Sunday for the livestream: https://www.youtube.com/

This Sunday is the first Sunday of the month, so we will also be celebrating communion together. If you'll be joining us online, please make sure to have some kind of bread and drink ready before the service begins!

This Sunday, June 25, our worship service will be at 9:30am outside in the parking lot of St. Benedict's. IF there's rain, we will move inside of the St. Benedict's gymnasium, but we're praying for good weather. This is an ecumenical worship service including ourselves, the Center on Faith First parish of Methodist Churches, the Salvation Army, and Christ Our Light Parish. The worship service will be co-led by the pastors of each of these congregations.
There will be a tent and 75 chairs, but if you have any outdoor/camping chairs, I'd recommend bringing one this Sunday!
There will be no online service this Sunday.

After worship, please stay for the Rock the Block Party on the corner of N 7th St and Steubenville Ave. There will be games, crafts, entertainment, door prizes, free hotdogs, popcorn, water, and cookies!!!

Invite your friends and neighbors!

How aware are we of the unseen spiritual world? Should we be afraid of the unseen?
