With February upon us, we want to remind everyone that this is the time where we begin to clean up the holiday decorations within the Park. We invite you to come out to the park to retrieve anything that you want to keep. We will begin removing any and all Christmas items once February is here. Each year we are fortunate to have volunteers from the Nampa Composite Squadron - Civil Air Patrol assist us with placing flags on the memorials for the veterans interred here. Heartfelt thanks to each cadet and to those who support them.

We spent some time in the park this Mother's Day weekend. It was nice to see the different families out on this special day. We helped with finding grave locations, visiting with some wonderful people and placing flowers.

With construction essentially on all sides of our beloved grounds, the voles continue to be driven to our grounds, resulting in incessant burrowing.

In our efforts to combat the problem, we have just set out locking bait stations that we hope will aid in the solution. Please note that we have more stations on the way. In addition to the recently placed stations, we have also had a service that has been assisting with monthly removal.

We appreciate your patience as we strive to get better control of this challenge. While we agree that these locking bait stations aren’t something any of us want to see, we hope that they aid in restoring the grounds to their beauty.

Memorial Day Clean up will be in two parts this year: Flags will be removed on Tuesday June 1, 2021 - as we have come to learn that the flags are supposed to be picked up as soon as possible after Memorial day per flag etiquette. The Decorations will be picked up starting Monday June 7, 2021. Please only remove items that belong to you from the cemetery. We look forward to seeing everyone this weekend.
