We invite you to join us this Sunday, August 30th, for our “Great Physician Service” at 11am.

This will be a special service of prayer, remembrance, and hope. We will pray for those who face chronic illness and for the family members and caregivers who walk alongside them. We will remember those we have lost, giving thanks for their lives and acknowledging the grief that remains.

And together, we will celebrate the hope we have in Jesus Christ, our Great Physician—the One who meets us in our suffering, carries us through our grief, and promises a day when all things will be made new.

Whether illness has touched your own life or the life of someone you love, we hope you’ll join us for this meaningful morning of worship and prayer.

First Baptist Church of Burlington seeks a part-time Maintenance Technician to maintain building and grounds at 400 South Broad Street in Burlington. The technician will monitor and control HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure optimum efficiency. Assure facilities are properly prepared for all special events. Maintain proper inventory of supplies and equipment. Technician will schedule and meet with outside contractors as needed. This position is scheduled for Monday through Friday, 4 hours per day depending upon the workload. There is also the possibility for urgency situation call-ins.
