You know you're supposed to, but you still don't do it.
You also know your life would be different=better even-if you did.
That's what makes you so frustrated with yourself.
Here's the solution:
You need to realize what David knew.
You remember David?
King of Israel? Man-after-God's-own-heart?
He understood that the things of God, they all belong to God.
In fact, everything belongs to God, material and immaterial.
But those qualities you know you're supposed to have, the wisdom you need to manage your life rightly, and the ability to see those opportunities to God's work in the real world,
all that stuff is also God's stuff,
and you're missing out on it because you don't pray.
You could be in a whole different life right now if you were asking God for His help each day.
Here's how to be consistent:
Make a note for yourself right now, not later, but as soon as you finish reading this.
Make it a pretty note or at least a durable one that you can and will look at everyday.
Let it say this:
"Convice me that you shouldn't pray?"
Then write this beneath it, "If you ask not, you will have not. - James 4:2"
If you encounter that every day, you'll find yourself praying more because you know you're supposed to already. This is just reminding you of what you miss out on when you don't.
