🍂 Thankful Tuesday 🍂

As we begin our new summer series, Take a Look: Stories That Take Us Somewhere, we're reminded that growth doesn't happen overnight. Just like the caterpillar's journey, God is continually shaping and transforming us.

Today we're thankful for the ways God has helped us grow through the years.

Today we give thanks for those father figures in our lives! We also get a chance to hear from our Mission Team about our week of service in Steubenville, Ohio at the Urban Mission.

The Emmaus story ends with these words:
"Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him." (Luke 24:31)

As our mission team prepares to return home, we give thanks for all the ways God has been at work this week.
We've seen Christ in service.
We've seen Christ in stories.
We've seen Christ in people.
And we've been reminded that the mission doesn't end when the trip ends.

We are also thankful you and your faithful prayers for our team!

One of the greatest gifts we can offer another person is our attention.
Jesus listened.
Jesus asked questions.
Jesus made time for people.
Today our team is reflecting on the stories we've heard throughout the week.

Today our team is reflecting on how Jesus revealed Himself through humble service.
Sometimes the holiest work looks ordinary:
✔ Carrying boxes
✔ Preparing meals
✔ Cleaning rooms
✔ Lending a hand

Jesus washed feet.
No task was beneath Him.

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, help us see every act of service as an opportunity to share Your love.

Who has served you in a way you'll never forget?

Today our mission team is focusing on seeing Christ in every person.
Jesus said: "Just as you did it to one of the least of these...you did it to me." (Matthew 25:40)

Every person carries a story.
Every person bears God's image.
Every person matters to God.

🙏 Pray that our team would not simply serve people, but truly see them.
