DISTRACTION IS STRATEGIC.

Distraction for the believer is not always accidental. Sometimes it is a strategic move of the adversary to keep you from walking in spiritual sharpness and alignment with the will of God for your life.

Think about it: What is that thing God told you to do? That assignment, vision, ministry, business, book, relationship, or life work that requires your obedience?

The enemy doesn’t always have to stop you—sometimes he just needs to distract you long enough for you to stop progressing.

Everything demanding your attention does not deserve your attention.

Some things are not sinful; they are simply out of priority. Some relationships are not necessarily bad, but they consume energy God intended for your assignment. Some opportunities look good but have nothing to do with where God is taking you.

Spiritual maturity requires learning to discern distractions and having the discipline to modify our behavior, establish priorities, create healthy boundaries, and protect our obedience to God.

Nehemiah understood this when people repeatedly attempted to pull him away from the work God had given him:

“And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?” — Nehemiah 6:3 (KJV)

Sometimes obedience sounds like:

I cannot come down.
I cannot give this my attention.
I cannot keep explaining myself.
I cannot keep saying yes to everything.
I cannot allow temporary demands to derail a divine assignment.

There comes a season when you have to become fiercely intentional about what God told you to do.

Protect your focus. Guard your time. Establish your boundaries. Maintain your obedience. Finish the work.

You are not called to respond to everything.

You are called to be faithful to what God assigned to you.

ON THE THRESHOLD OF PIVOT

There are moments when you can sense that something is shifting. You know you cannot remain where you have been, but God has not yet revealed every detail of where you are going.

That is the threshold of pivot.

And one of the greatest disciplines at the threshold is learning how to wait on God.

The temptation in transition is to move simply because you know change is necessary. But knowing that it is time for change does not always mean you know how, when, or where God wants you to move.

If we get ahead of God, we can make decisions that create unnecessary detours and set us back. Not because the desire for change was wrong—but because timing, direction, and obedience matter.

God knows what you don’t know.

He knows your past—including the things He may not have revealed to you about why certain seasons unfolded the way they did. But He also knows every nuance of your next. He knows the people connected to it, the doors that need to open, the doors that must remain closed, the timing, the environment, the resources, the resistance, and the preparation you will need when you arrive.

You only see the threshold.

God sees what is on the other side of it.

So don’t allow the urgency of transition to become the enemy of divine timing. You don’t have to manufacture the next season simply because the previous one is ending.

Wait on God.

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) declares:

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Sometimes waiting isn’t God withholding your next.

Waiting is God preparing you to enter your next correctly.

You may be standing on the threshold of one of the greatest pivots of your life. Don’t rush across it.

Wait until God gives you clarity.
Wait until God gives you direction.
Wait until God gives you release.

Because when God orders the pivot, you won’t just leave where you’ve been—you’ll be positioned for where you’re supposed to be.

Don’t get ahead of God at the threshold. Your next is too important to enter without Him.

Why So Much Pain When God Is God?
If God is all-powerful, all-knowing, and loving, why does He allow us to experience so much pain? In this episode, we wrestle with one of faith’s hardest questions—not from a place of doubt, but from a desire to understand God in the midst of suffering. Discover how pain does not mean God is absent, how trials can deepen our faith, and how God can still be working when life hurts the most.

Spiritual Integrity

Spiritual integrity is who you are when nobody is watching.
It’s choosing to live what you preach, obey God even when it costs you, and let your private life agree with your public confession.
You don’t build a powerful ministry by your platform—you build it by your character.
