Dear Lord, we ask your guidance in honoring those who have gone before us and pray that you give strength to those who still serve. Help us never forget their sacrifice and always be thankful for everything that they have given to us. Heavenly Father, we ask that you be with their families, who carry their loss every day. Thank you for reminding us to be forever grateful. Amen.

Remember, our worship service will be at 11:00 A.M. beginning May 31st.
This Sunday, May 31, is Trinity Sunday, where we are reminded that we are all imperfect people. Join us as we learn that making disciples isn't a course with a diploma; it's a way of living we're always growing into. "Go" means leaving something behind, embracing uncertainty, and trusting that God's presence goes with us always. We are called to live outwardly and intentionally, letting the love of Christ leak out of us as we become fully alive human beings partnering with God for the flourishing of all creation.

We will have our next Road Cleanup on June 20th. We hope to see you there.

Pentecost arrives in two ways: the rush of mighty wind and tongues of fire that unite us in exuberant witness, and the gentle breath of Jesus bringing peace to fearful disciples. Both are real, both are the Spirit's work. The Spirit is given to all, not to a chosen few but to the whole believing community, transforming fear into boldness and isolation into unity. Join us Sunday, May 24th, when we receive the power to love as Christ loved and the breath that sends us into the world. Breathe on us, Spirit of God, and fill us with life anew. And don't forget to wear red.

This Sunday, May 17th, we finish our series, A Living Hope. The anxieties pressing in on us can feel overwhelming — and we are invited to cast every one of them onto Christ, who cares for us deeply. Letting go of worry doesn't make our problems disappear, but it frees us to see options, make better choices, and recognize the Holy Spirit's strength already at work within us. We move from complaint to joy when we remember God's faithfulness — in history, in scripture, in the lives of those who came before us, and in our own community right here at CCOB. When we unburden ourselves and reach for God's vision instead of clinging to what we fear, we become instruments of His presence in the world.
Let us pray that we would release what we cannot carry and trust the One who stands ready to restore, support, and strengthen us for the journey ahead.

Kim has misplaced her bible. It is blue with a lot of writing inside. If you happen to see a blue bible around town, please reach out. We are praying that Kim finds her missing bible.

This Sunday, May 3rd, we continue the series, A Living Hope. This week, we explore Psalm 31:1-5 and 1 Peter 2:2-10, and come to understand that we are not Christians in isolation but living stones built together into a spiritual house, with Christ as our cornerstone.
