DAY 4 Dogwood Acres Summer Camp:
We had a good bit of rain so we began the day with energizers and inside games but after lunch and cabin time it was LAKE DAY!! It was wonderful to see the campers try new things- Quirkles, canoes, fishing and swimming in a lake. Great afternoon had by all! After dinner, silly songs and worship we headed to the Pole Barn for some CRAZY Hungry Hungry Hippos with colored balls and hula hoops. Then a fun game of Rock, Paper, Scissors using hula hoops. The games were such that Littles could beat bigger and slower could beat faster- a great equalizer!

Day 3: Dogwood Acres Summer Camp
Different groups went to archery and we had a good bit of rain but were able to get in some swim time between games. Breakfast was waffles, sausage and fruit and dinner was Taco Tuesday. Counselor Antha's Cabin helped with worship via a skit about Elijah- and they were FANTASTIC. The highlight of today was the Glo Party!!! It started with the Chicken Dance and the Hokey Pokey then moved into the limbo and some favorite energizers and line dances. We ended with Church Clap by KB featuring Lecrae!

Day 2: Dogwood Acres Summer Camp

Amazing!! Energizers, sling-shot and archery range, making tie-dye bandanas and baking bread, Bible story (Elijah and how we can hear God!) and worship, silly songs, blessing meal songs and worship songs, game time and mid-day FOB (flat on back) plus a night swim!!

Don't forget camp food- scrambled eggs, bacon, grits, and biscuits plus cereal and fruit options. Lunch was hamburgers, tator tots, salad and chocolate chip cookies. Dinner was chicken legs and thighs, green beans, mashed potatoes, roll and brownies. Smores after the night swim!!!

Great first day at Dogwood Acres Summer Camp! Making new friends, setting up cabins, Gaga Pit, basketball, Giant Tetris, spaghetti for dinner, vesper service in the chapel, field games, Popsicles, showers and lights out at 10. (That's 11 for us on Eastern Standard Time🥱) Whew!!

Another Montreat Youth Conference came to a close with the candle lighting around Lake Susan. It ends with only the Seniors' candles lit and many tears all around. We hope the youth continue to Wonder and Wander!!!
